The high res models look to end the rain by early afternoon and radar trends look to support that. I hope they hold tight and don't postpone the game until tomorrow. For selfish reasons, I am pulling for 1st pitch b/w 1 and 3 today.

TWC shows rain probability at 100% from 3-4. 80% before.

Of course, we could play on Wednesday and it doesn't matter if we don't get out of this funk we have been in at the plate ..

looks good. I think we're going to get the horseshoe part about 200 miles south of Crowley (if you know what i mean) that area is going to go over Baton Rouge, I'd assume.

That's the thing. Who woulda thunk the SB starters would look like major league studs against us.

Their Pitcher was struggling with the heat, wiping his brow often between pitches, but the rain helped cool things off yesterday. Also, it really only rained when Gausman pitched.
I want 90+ degrees and 80% humidity whenever this game is played!

It did seem that way. And that's when SB got 4 of their 6 hits, in the 3rd inning with the 1st downpour. I really felt bad for Kevin. You could see him struggling with his pitches because of the rain

If you remember we benefited from the same situation against Georgia a few years ago. I think it was i'n the SEC tourny. It rained i'n the first while they were pitching and we racked up 4 runs before they decided to delay.

But looking at the radar it looks to be clearing soon, if more rain doesn't form to the sout west then we may be ok i'n a few hours. But when the heat builds a little after noon we could see another band form.

The stuff that's due south of Kaplan on the coast kinda scares me. Looks like it'll be here by noon. Maybe it will miss us south tho...?

yeah the horseshoe part is going to be close. Hopefully the line still stays south and we don't get any over running the line rain.

I hate to be honest, but this teams hitting is extremely inconsistent. We have made a lot of no name pitchers look like all stars against us. It is what it is. We are due for a bust out. Hopefully today is that day.

It's called radarscope. Beware it's $10 but it's legit. Bought 3 years ago so the cost seems like nothing now. It takes a meteorologist to read all the settings, but the base reflectivity setting works great for an amateur like me.

If this game gets pushed to Monday, expect to see the Stony Brook game 1 starter at some point. He didn't look to have good stuff, but we didin't hit him.
