I dont recall point spreads, but I can only see UK where we would have been overwhelming favorites. Most of the others I think were closer spreads. You do know that just because a team is a 5 or 6 point favorite it doesnt mean they are a dead lock right?

Stop letting your emotions post after a tough loss. Who do you think would be available at years end that we could possibly hire to do a better job? Don't say Gruden, that is laughable.

You can't fire trhe man without having a better replacement set to go,... so who is it?

FOLKS...we DESPERATELY need a qb.

What if we already have one and the coaches are ruining the situation? What if QB recruits around the nation see that, and it's an open secret that no great QB recruit should come to LSU? Isn't that what everybody around the nation is saying right now?

Just trying to help you NegaTigers make the argument that Miles is the worst coach ever. After all, hasn't every win this year been a moral defeat? Has there been one win this year that you haven't found SOMETHING to bitch about, something to add to your mountain of evidence that Miles is the most retarded coach ever???

Whoooaaa. You just filled in some blanks you shouldn't have. Those are the very type of games we've lost late in the year recently that have caused our SEC decline and you're assuming wins?

2010 LSU football has nothing to do with 2008 or 2009 LSU football.

Is the 2010 better than those teams?

Saying well we lost them in 2008 and 2009 is no more valid than saying we won them in 2005 or 2006.

This is a different team, and a different season.

I'm not saying I'm entirely thrilled with what has happened the past two seasons, but it's far, far too early to write off this year just because "the last two years we couldn't do it."

Weren't overwhelming favorites in either of those games.

In fact, we may have been underdogs in both according to the point spread.

Maybe through your own imagination were we major favorites, but not in real life.

Dude, here in Oregon OCTOBER is the month of champions. The Ducks demand they be given their crystal football now lest U$C take it away next Saturday.

The concern is that the team's operations are becoming so sloppy and bewildering that LSU is about to get passed by in the conferene, fading into an obscurity that is below LSU's historic trend line.

No, not even close. Florida, Bama, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn and LSU have been and will continue to be the SEC elite. The balance of power shifting happens from time to time, but we aren't close to being passed up by other teams in the conference. We aren't close to fading into obscurity. We are much closer to being as dominant as Florida and Alabama have been then being as bad as Tennessee or Auburn has.

Maybe, but how do you know? Things can change very quickly in the SEC. There is a huge arms race going on around the conference, and it's more intense and competitive than it's ever been before. Nobody is satisfied with where they are except for Vanderbilt and Ole Miss.

We are very close to Bama and UF right now because they've just coasted to near-perfect records the last couple of seasons. But they will be back. And other teams are gaining strength.

They only way LSU can possibly keep pace with where the program currently is would be if the offensive coaching gets dramatically overhauled. Now, that may still happen, but the situation is extremely worrying.

The future hangs in the balance, and at this point it seems as though things are so well set-up for LSU that a new coach could lift the program to a higher level.

Not saying that Miles shouldn't be appreciated for the job he's done here since 2005, but it might be time to move on.

.

Or LSU could sign a QB that everyone in America & parts of Asia & Latin America knows & be in the 2011 BCS CG in 2011.

The "good" coaches want to come to LSU to get Booed & Fired in 4 years.

That is such a defeatist attitude! If anything, they would say " I can help that team - lead that team - win games on that team." People who want to be good on any level would never think like that. That applies not only to football teams, but to life in general. That's just part of being a winner - knowing that you can overcome practically anything, and be great at what you do.

Not it's not. The best QB recruits will want to play for the best QB coaches so that they can become the best players they can possibly be. Simply put, that cannot happen at LSU because the coaches don't care about developing QBs.

Were the Manning brothers having a "defeatist" attitude when Archie steered them toward Cutcliffe at Tennessee & Ole Miss and away from LSU? Come on.

If you want to attract top recruits, you need to make them believe that they are actually going to be receiving lots of attention from great mentors and will be learning from the best.
