1. Lack of discipline (Tyson Jackson v. Andre Woodson) (too many "stupid" penalties - offsides, delay of game).
2. Lack of intensity/aggessiveness on defense (Pellini was largely scaled back at LSU as compared to his DC tenure at Nebraska, OU and his HC reign at Nebraska thus far, Chavis rarely sent more than one on a blitz this year - a stark contrast to his UT defenses).
3. Failure to correct mistakes that have continued to be repeated since day one (if you think the delay of games and/or wasted time outs to avoid was new this year then you haven't been paying attention, ditto for the clock management - the only thing different about the Ole Miss and PSU debacles as compared to 07 vs. Auburn was that D Byrd saved Miles' sorry arse).
4. Let the OC call his play, stop changing them on the sideline (JF could be clearly heard on TV in his last regular season game screaming something to the effect of "run the mother ___ play I called", this contributes to the delay of games/wasted time outs)
5. play the best player (KW should have been starting this year once CS started tiptoeing, there is no way I can believe that DM was the best option to receive playing time against PSU, etc).
6. Changing his mind after accepting the Michigan job. But Herbie really forced his hand.
