Miles - ballsy play calling in situations where other coaches would tuck their sack back and punt.

Taking two teams that were in the shitter and turning them into elite programs.

Having the owner of a storied NFL franchise fly into town and offer total control of his franchise to a college coach.

But yeah, how's Gerry Dinardo doing nowadays?

It was pretty remarkable, his success rate on 'trick' plays.

Those Saban players could run about any play.

but look at how many games Coker won, including a MNC. it's a fact the man won a shitload of games after taking over for Butch Davis. it's funny how you Milestown worshipers love to play the numbers game when comparing Saban's record at LSU to Miles', yet all of you stay clear the frick away from comparing Coker's numbers to Miles'. these are facts, not opinions....and you know, facts are facts, pal.

Gutsy play calling.

Seriously thats one thing I love about Miles. He trys crazy shite. Of course if it fails it'll put us in a hole, and that sucks. But when you have an offense that actually works, it can be a hell of a call. 5 4th down conversions on Florida was awesome.

I love when Miles goes for it. Of course our offense didn't really play that well to warrant such antics last season but if we got it smoothed out, why the hell not? If we're good enough, just try and stop us.

It really is sad, but if and when Miles leaves LSU.. his legacy will be the function of what the coach after him can accomplish.

If Miles leaves and the program plummets, it will dramatically improve his stock, but if we win a championship in the few years after, it will further hurt him.

Either way, he's going to be remembered for those calls he make that have you screaming either at how stupid they are or how brilliant they are on a succeed/fail basis and his press conferences.

Well, for starters, Larry Coker won the championship in his first year with players that he neither recruited nor developed while Miles won it in his third.

In that aspect, it would be more appropriate to compare miles to other coaches who won it their third year, dontcha think?

Meyer, Tressel, Saban....

If that's not good for you, then I can point out that Coker never won more games in one season than he did in the one preceding it.

Coker won a NC his first year
Miles has never had a .500 season
Miles has never lost complete control of his team and had 10+ players suspended or arrested in one season

...just to name a few
