I'm pretty sure OSU's D is marginally better than Appy's and LSU had their way with us. To say such a bold statement is beyond retarded.

I agree. I still can't believe the statement that we wouldn't be able run...period. I think that is going to be a strongest point is running the ball. Don't get me wrong, I know stranger things have happened, but I still feel when will dominate in the run game department.

I don't think I agree with the other ASU fan. I think that DJ Smith will contribute a ton especially to the running game, but I'm not sure how well they will be able to stop the run. I don't think our D will be deep just like they said, but with some of the problems that we had last year, I'm not sure what is going to happen. I think that we lost one of our imo, not so great D players, so maybe that will make a difference.

One thing though, please make this just speculation because no one knows how they are going to play. Probably not even the players themselves. It is possible that LSU's O-line could fall apart or ASU's D-line could completely step up. Or vice versa. You really just never know. Remember ANY GIVEN SATURDAY!

who the frick is wofford? and how do you explain a loss to them?

I said in my original post that we shut down teams that didn't have a dual threat quarterback.

Wofford runs the triple option...which means a dual threat quarterback.

Wofford is the same team that gave a 2006 8-4 SEC South Carolina team all they wanted. Down by 7 with under a minute to play first and goal on the 10. (Wofford didn't even make the I-AA playoffs that year)

Well you have a big concern then because Hatch can very well be mobile when he wants too and this remark is putting it lightly.

All this talk is totally pointless. ASU was paid to come here and take their arse whoopin and that's exactly what they'll do. One of the most insane fans I've come across was this past season during a lay-over in Atlanta a couple days b4 the Sugar Bowl. A Hawaii fan said, and I quote, "Colt Brennan will be the first QB drafted." The whole "ASU not letting tigers win on the ground" is going into the same category -- Insane. ASU won the NC in 2005 -- they also lost to LSU 24-0 -- and many 2/3 deeps played that night for LSU.

Yeah, I guess, if you like having your stupidity immortalized for a few thousand people to read.

Here, I'll give you my prediction and we'll see who's right on Aug 30.

LSU will run at will on App St. They will run over, through, around and under them. LSU will run for at least 300 yards.

Where did this crap about Appy having any sort of a defense come from?

2007 Total Defense = 70th in FCS at 380 ypg
2007 Rush Defense = 87th in FCS at 193 ypg

Hell, I think that the Ole Miss cheerleaders put up more resistance......

ETA: We should be able to rack up something north of 300 yards on the ground!

And I'll predict that A. Edwards has 15 carries for 37 yards and a fumble. No bullshite.

ASU pulled their starters before LSU did that night...

and I quote from the LSU radio network

"We enter the 4th quarter with LSU up 14-0 it should be tied or worse"

quote from LSU message boards

"Thank God this game wasn't on tv and everyone in the country will just see the final score, and not know how close this game really was"

Let's play at a neutral field and see the outcome. Nahhhh you would have probably won by the same amount

Champ against Champ...But lets give the home field advantage team an extra 23 scholarships.

That might just make it even...but I doubt it.
