Lee is also an academic standout, having accumulated a 4.8 GPA in high school.

Reyes, who has been Lee’s quarterback coach for the last three years, said the young athlete carries his knowledge onto the football field.

“He’s a smart kid … He does a great job reading defenses, and he understands the different coverages. I can’t tell you how many times he went to the second, third or fourth read receiver,” Reyes said. “He understands the game, and if something’s not there, instead of forcing it, he’ll throw it away.”

FAIL. Lee is in high school and his coach talks of him progressing thru 3 or 4 reads. Wake up genuis, JJ has you in a trance now thinking QB's in college don't go thru 3 reads. That's how dumbed down our offense has you all believing!

That can cover Sheppard,Tollivor,Randle,Peterson. We have too many talented WR or any one team to cover.

They could put you and your mom at corner, with your brother and his goofy friend at safety, and our passing game isn't going to hurt them much.

Most decent QBs have a JJ career year every season.

For starters it's not like we're going to run 4 WR sets all game.

Even if we did it wouldn't matter because

a. Jefferson is a mediocre passer
b. Jerfferson doesn't really have the quick release you need to run a run and shoot type offense IMO
c. Jefferson has the pocket presence of a banana

Then there are other considerations. We're one sprained ankle away from only having 3 of the 4 and all of a sudden that numbers game doesn't look so great.

We also need to have better protection this year.

We put up 3000+ rushing yards when Flynn was the QB.

It's all about the running game.

This is what many people forget about. JJ had a better completion percentage than Mallett and McElroy and had about 2200 yards passing. Any fan will automatically point to the coach and the QB when the offense is not operating the way they want it to. The truth was that our offensive line wasn't very good last year and defenses knew it. The Oline couldn't give Jefferson the time he needed and they didn't help us very much in the running game. I'm not saying JJ doesn't need improvement, but the blame shouldn't fall squarely on him.

Think you are watching different games than most of us. I really don't think many of JJ's sacks were a result of the defense getting there before he had a chance to throw.

Time wasn;t the issue. Reading defenses and trusting your own abilities were the issues. Not blaming JJ or Lee. Two years and a kid, one of the two should be able to read a defense. Its the coaching

If you can't see past a traditional 2 CB set, you better not talk about football knowledge...

Listen dumbass....First off I was just joking around but for the record!

When you play nickle and dime you still ONLY have 2 conerbacks on the field the other 2 or 3 respectively are defensive backs....

There are only 2 cornerbacks positions on the field...

NOW go do your homework before you council someone on football knowledge...

You mean the same Oline thats was blocking for Lee, but only a year younger and weaker?

Oh, that oline, amazing they weren't to blame the year before.
