So because Miles commpliments a kid, he should automatically start him?
well basically yea...
frick no, you asked what my opinions and respects of lee were based off of, seeing as i had not attended practice. Im pretty sure les has. Once again i'll say i started this thread not for ppl to attack me but to show me a different perspective. Im not saying lee should automatically start. ik there ae a lot of circumstances preventing that but this is just food for thought

ok my opinion on your opinion.
as far as MIles on Z.Lee, he is sucking up big time at the moment because of the looming Dodgers deal that may come down tonight or tomorow. he cant sit back and not say anything then the kid would likley think the coach has no interest in him and then take the offer.
secondly i agree with one poster who sayd starting ZL would be the fourth straight year trying to train a QB while he is at the starting position, how has that worked out latley?
I'm not the most optimistic guy here but I believe JJ will have a better season overall than last season. If the OC gives him the right plays if you watch his performance against Georgia tech then watch last year's games i saw one major difference. that difference was play calling last year they were confusing the whole team with the play calling in 08 it was straight forward simple offense but it worked mostly power run game and then set up the pass
so my opinion is to simplify things and i would thing we would get the same results from 08 or atleast closer to it

i'll admit this crossed my mind and there's probably some truth to it, but part of me still feels lee is already an excellent quarterback given his age and status.

I'll show you a different perspective.
Don't use this site or articles as sole sources for your assesment of the QBs. Not everybody on this board uses good logic and jouralists are sometimes biased or have their own agenda. You have to think for yourself sometimes and actually go out there (to the practices) so that way you have your very own assessment.

and when i said he reminds me of aaron brooks i'm going by his demeanor, body language, facial expressions...and our shitty last couple of seasons
I'm sure JJ being black has nothing to do with it...

no im just not crazy about JJ or aaron brooks, plain and simple
Posted on 8/15/10 at 1:55 pm to jp90
JP90 im not saying that he isnt a good qb, cause if he wasnt then we wouldnt be so worried if he goes but im just saying that im sure they are sugar coating alot of what is sayd because of the fact if they dont he may think there is no interest in his services

how did jordan jefferson get compared to aaron brooks.
Posted on 8/15/10 at 1:59 pm to TigerDat

here is an outside perspective from TD or a link from it

Weaknesses: Jefferson has been unspectacular at quarterback, and he didn’t exactly light up spring practices. This season is where he makes his mark or falls apart for LSU. Losing eight starters will be a tough obstacle for LSU to overcome without much leadership behind Sheppard and Peterson. After going 17-9 the last two years, it’s uncertain whether the Tigers still have the magic of years past. Miles could be on the hot seat with another sub-par performance for LSU’s standards.

I don't know how anybody can say ZLee is better than or would play better than JJ right now. ZLee has never played in a college game yet. Les can't stop raving about ZLee but that does not mean he will play anytime soon. Maybe he won't play till 2012. Then ZLee has to pitch a ton of innings for 2 years on LSU's baseball team. He has to pass through that 2 year period with no serious arm injuries. ZLee is a ways from seeing the football field in my opinion.

& JJ is Joe Montana? right.

Turnovers are critical. I will take a qb that takes the sack over throwing the interception any day of the week.
Not me! Did you watch the offense last season? Turnovers are bad but 3 and outs with negative yardage has the same effect. The other team gets the ball. We could do without the pick sixes but some of those might have prevented with a little more effort to make a stop. But that was 2 years ago with a freshman QB. He has had 2 years to mature. The one who practices best should have the opportunity to start.

No body said that. Learn to read. Then post.

the thing that is holding Miles back for starting J Lee over J Jefferson is deciding what is better or worse. Go with a QB who tries to make something happen and throws the pic, or go with a QB who is doesn't try to make anything happen and takes the deep sack?
Here is my take: At least a QB who is looking to get rid of a ball with either get a incomplete, complete or interception (1 in 3 chance). A QB who is looking to take the sack is down, play over, possesion over.
Now, you tell me which is worse?
