None of that matters.

As far as the coaches poll is concerned we play everyone in front of us.

#4 is plenty good.

they will be #3 oklahoma & bama got a lot of votes for 1st compared to lsu & oregon. lsu will get oregons 1st place votes and a few of bamas or oaklahomas if they are impressive.

Early season polls are worthless. I imagine if OU beats FSU, even if LSu beats Oregon....OU will be number one.

If we are undefeated after the Bama game, then that's when we get the ranking.

I really don't want it till than anyway. It's too much of a bullseye.

Okies vs Florida State winner will get props too.

And Boise has 3 ranked teams, all in Boise on the blue rug. TCU visits Boise late in the season. TCU has no other ranked opponents.

Our Lady plays no one until Stanford late in season. Ok. they play Mich State, good but not great.

Our Lady, TCU likely to go all the way undefeated if they can beat their one tough opponent.

Okies have a few opponents ranked in the teens.

LSU has the toughest schedule among the real contenders.

South Carolina has an easy road to the SEC champ game undefeated.

Oklahoma's schedule looks easy compared to Bama, LSU, USCe, MSU, UF, Ark, so I think Oklahoma will be #1 until/if they lose a game.

They should. LSU will obviously have played and beaten a better team than alabama will have played. LSU should at least jump them, as Alabama will get a chance to show if they are superior. But that's why I don't care if we don't jump bama. We have to beat them anyways.

I think it matter how we win of course. A first game like last year and we don't go to Number 1. A game like the V Tech win may actually make some think Oregon was just overrated and hurt too. Both teams look good, JJ plays capable, Ware or Ford busts out of the gate and we win it by 2 touchdowns in the end ...then we jump to number 1.

BTW, that's how I see it happening. Close through 2 1/2 then we wear them down and close it out convincingly. Fingers crossed on the JJ part of course.

Prediction: Many voters change votes after first CF weekend. The winner of UO/LSU WILL be ranked #1. However if Choklahoma beats FSU the following week they will bump UO/LSU winner for the #1 ranking.

This.

If LSU is 7-0 when the first BCS rankings are released Oct. 17th, that'll include a neutral site win over Oregon, road wins at Miss St, WV, and TN, plus a home win over FL.

#1 by a mile.

LSU/Oregon winner will not leapfrog Alabama and Oklahoma. Don't be stupid.

I believe the winner of the LSU/Oregon game will leap frog Bama. But id OU defeats FSU they will in all likelihood be # 1.

You're dreaming, the lovefest with Oklahoma won't end unless they lay an egg. All of the ESPN douchebag talking heads are already on record from previous years being in love with the Sooners.

I still cant understand the hype about Oklahoma. Last year they barely beat horrible teams.

I notice they get a bye week in week 2 before the FSU game. Thats pitiful and that might make them drop before week 3.
