Also a lot of idiots who completely discount Rivers without seeing him play simply because he's skinny.
This too. I think some people think he is a novelty QB. He may legitimately challenge for second. Funny reading this stuff though before spring practice even starts.

You could have left out the second part. You couldn't get any worse than Jefferson
Jefferson had several good games during his years at LSU. So he wasn't all that bad. It's sad he couldn't keep playing the way he did against A&M or Miami U for that matter. Is it coaching, was it the kid playing over his head? We'll never really know for sure.

But people need to realize that Randall isn't changing position anytime soon and that he has a way better shot of seeing PT over Rivers.
What the hell do you base this stuff on?

I hope they have a great competition in practice. I am just putting money on Randall if anyone is taking bets.
Jordan Jefferson was a dual threat QB who couldn't run well or pass well. So he was a no threat QB. I hate that leaves such a shitty taste in people's mouths about dual-threat QBs or even black dual-threat QB's. I understand why they feel that way, but I just wish they didn't because Randall is very legit as a QB.

Les Miles.
He loves the dual threat guy. His whole time at LSU he has had one.
That, and the fact that Randall is a better talent and led the scout team a bunch last season as a dual threat QB.

I think you are assuming Les will remain infatuated with dual threat QB's. He may have lost his taste for them and it may not be as much of an advantage as you think. Spring practice for this season hasn't even come close to starting yet.

Oh no, another friend or family member already bringing up QB play (Geauxmez)

Cam Newton was a duel threat QB and I don't think anyone would have turned him away. Big Reason Auburn has that Crystal Ball. Some said he couldn't make it in the NFL but look at his passing stats. Didn't equate to wins but still impressive for a rookie in the NFL.

The scout team mimics another offense.

Cam Newton's JC Scout Profile:
Maybe they just put accuracy and decision making for everybody
So some moron would have likely said he's just another JJ.

I don't think LSU has to have a dual threat QB. If it can be done and done effectively, fine...but I don't see it as a necessity.

People comparing them are ignorant dumbasses.
People are comparing them b/c they rightly fear the possibility that Les will play him over Mett b/c of an overemphasis on "feet".
It's not that they're both black. It's that they are both more athletic than the pocket passer alternative.
Y'all are making it worse by posting that he's a lot better than JJ ever was.
