I think you're missing the point. The main Landry partisans in this thread conceded that Steltz was better at coverage with the ball in the air, but insisted that Landry's athleticism made up for his senior year mistakes.
Thus, you would expect him to have better stats than Steltz from his superior blitzing skills, as well as ability to make up ground in a hurry. As it turns out, not so much.
Even if the stats were even, it would be a blow to the argument that Landry was better based on athleticism and a concentration on raw playmaking ability rather than conservative defense, but the stats aren't even close. Pass defenses (INT + breakups): 13 to 7? Maybe you would have a case if Steltz was being picked on all season in 2007 and Landry wasn't in 2006, but this was clearly not the case.
