That whole scene was unreal before kickoff.
When Tebow dropped his mouthguard in front of the student section before his first play I remember telling me friend he was done at the timeout and his concussion symptoms were going to take him away. Then we got slowly choked by that dive read play.
That whole game was full of what-ifs. We shouldn't have settled for the FG near the end of the half. The stadium would have exploded with a TD and maybe rode the momentum to a special night, o well.
IIRC that was the game that started the team getting together on the 35-40 before going into the tunnel after warmups that they do every week now right?

Wasn't that 10-3 game? The most exciting thing there was when buddy sits behind me got ejected 3rd Q for shouting inebriated obscenities at the Gator cheerleaders! Told him didn't miss a thing after!

If y'all wanna bitch about something with this game, why don't you bitch the pass interference non-call on the only UF TD. We held them in check other than that play

13-3 I believe.
As everyone knows the offense couldn't move the ball while the defense played great. Thought for sure we could pull it off with Tebow having that concusion 2 weeks before.
Oh and the final score woulda been 6-3 is the ref caught that cheating wide out who pulled one of our guy's jerseys to get the only touchdown of that game. I think the UF player was Murphy?idk some white dude.

I wonder if the coaches were talking shite to each other

Cooper, Tebow's Roommate.
Our defense played well, but both teams ran the most vanilla offensive plans I've ever seen. They must have run demps/rainey on the dive out of shotgun 20 times each.

That was a glorious pre-game atmosphere. It was the most beserk, demonically intense gameday setting that I can recall. The tailgating across campus was worthy of being enshrined forever in folk songs. An epic poem in iambic pentameter should have been composed in honor of the inhuman alcohol and meat consumption alone. I arrived at campus around 6 AM...and I felt like I was inexcusably late to the party. The stadium was resplendent in gold. The four corner salute was defeaning, as were the first few Florida possessions.
Truly an incredible day that captured the mad essence of LSU fanaticism.
However, if LSU and Alabama are both undefeated for this November's nationally televised night game, Florida 09 will be eclipsed. In fact, it may look like a quaint little ripple of enthusiasm next to a tsunami of febrile debauchery and hatred.

i would give anything to see bama and LSU meet at the 50 like that. Nothing would ever come close to the insanity that would follow. I get chills thinking about it

I remember LSU not having a QB in that game
lots of those memories lately

That skinny short white dude. What a crock. We got screwed on that.

Exactly what I was thinking.
That ended our Home Night game winning streak, dating back to Bama in 02 I believe when Satan was the coach and we lost to Francione.

Thanks for bringing back to mind another JJ gem of an offensive performance.

while the defense played great.
That's a common myth about the game. The defense played great inside the 20s. Florida ate our lunch every possession and DOMINATED time of possession.

I graduated this past May and I will say that the moment before the first snap Tebow took was in the top 5 loudest moments I've ever been a part of in TS. He had taken that huge blindside hit a couple weeks before and apparently ridiculously high decibel levels could further damage his concussion...the place was an orchestra of noise.. it was beautiful.
