why don't the Saints adapt LSU's offensive philosphy and run 50 different offensive scheme/packages? They have the time and personal to perfect the 'no particular identity' type of offense. Maybe it would work at the professional level.

yeah we need a qb like mauck who in big games threw 4tds and 11 ints.

Because Sean Payton is one of the best coaches in the NFL and Les is, to be nice, in the bottom third of the SEC

Come back in three years and say that... Its all about the QB who makes the Saints WRs look good.
In reality they're all good, but not one of them is truly great.
LaFell is going to be starting next year in the NFL regardless of where he goes, and Tolliver will probably do better. Furthermore, Randle has such super sure hands and athleticism, he's another 1st round lock. Overall yeah maybe the Saints WRs are better now, but LSUs WRs don't have Drew Brees passing to them either, now do they?
Just consider the individual's talent before you make leaps as towards who is better.

Because LSU does not want that history of losing maybe?
Thank you. The SAINTS have a great season and all of a sudden LSU sucks, the fan base sucks, blah blah this, blah blah that. What was these SAINTS/LSU fans saying about LSU when we was winning BCS Bowls and Championships while the SAINTS couldn't make the playoffs.lol. Now all of a sudden LSU should be like the SAINTS.

Thank you. I'm happy for the SAINTS and the city of New Orleans but some people act like LSU always sucked and haven't won a damn thing. Teams have up and down years. Some people act like LSU didn't win the National Title a few years ago.

Because they don't play a 16 game regular season and aren't based out of New Orleans?

When we discuss the Saints, the current team always bears the weight of the entire franchise's history. All the losing season from years past get attached.
In this case...we should look at the Sean Payton era. It appears this franchise has the coach, the quarterback and other ingredients to be a strong program (college word) for quite some time.
Payton - 39-24 overall (keep in mind NFL records are the equilvalent of SEC records), with two NFC South Titles and two playoff births in four years on the job. One playoff win will also equal two trips to the NFC Championship game. That's strong stuff.

... I know we live in a "what have you done for me lately" society but, this is stupid.
Let's review the last 40 years. It's not even close. The New Orleans Saints have a monument to fooball failure.
The last two seasons the Saints were a 500 ball club. Where were these posts then? Going into this season there was even talk of canning Peyton if he did not produce.
Last year, LSU's season 8-5 was considered by some to be "bad".
It's okay to be happy with New Orleans present year success. But, let's not get stupid people.

3 championships in 116 years is really nothing to brag about

I know we dont have a Drew Breeze at QB but
but...? I think that pretty much sums it up. Even with Les and GC we would have won a nat champ this year.

1. Sean Payton play design and calling
2. Drew Brees passing and reading D's
3. Pierre Thomas runs extremely hard and with purpose
