He's gone drizz. Let him go. Stop living in the past.
Some of this year's problem is a reflection of that year's paltry 13 member signing class if you count redshirt year. I also agree that it also has to do with shite needs based recruiting. Too much flash and not enough OL/DL big uglies for SEC football. What good are flashy players without lanes, time to get the football to Rec or CBs trying to cover all day due to no rush?

...............because 'people' have short memories ! is it possible we were malcontented with saban? not just possible, but a certainty.

these guys that own this thing need to make up a Saban board.

The 09 Tigers never played a stretch of games as easy as at 7-5 Florida, 7-5 Troy, 2-9 Vanderbilt, 6-6 Alabama, 4-7 Ole Miss, and at 5-6 Arkansas.

The most losses Saban had in the SEC in one season was 3. Number of SEC wins Miles had in 2008 was 3
Well Nicky's 4 loss season included the UAB embarassment instead of an SEC loss.
This is pointless. Time for you guys to kneel by your bedsides and pray real hard for St Nick to come back. Please God, please!
Pitiful.

Saban did not lose any games because of being an idiot (Miss.)
You obviously were not at the 2001 (miss) game when Nicky tried to run out the clock, while Eli was putting 2 TD on the board in the final 2 mnutes of the first half.

This statement is just hilarious. I can give you 8-3, maybe Florida is able to beat them. But are you serious? 7-4? That's fantastic. What two teams other than Auburn and Georgia would have beaten them? Really.
With Jordan Jefferson instead of Jamarcus Russell, no doubt whatsoever Oregon State would have beaten them. The Troy comeback in 2004 probably would not have happened with Jefferson. I doubt very seriously the 2009 team playing the 2004 schedule could have gotten through with less than four losses.

I was.
I also threw up a little.

Why is Saban's name being mentioned here, he is not the LSU coach. He is coaching in the BCS game...
Don't you fools realize that people like Bamascoop love this and take all of this back to thier "Pink Elephant Club?"

LSU is never in a position to lose to Troy if Jefferson is the QB for that game, and the same goes for the Oregon State game. We had Russell, who had never played a college down in his life and Marcus Randall, the world's worst QB.

You should compare JR to JJ stats before posting that.
Russell:
Comp/Att: 188/311 60.5%
Yards: 2443
QB Rating: 136.6
Touchdowns/Ints: 15/9
Yds Rushing: -22
Jefferson:
Comp/Att: 169/272 62.1%
Yards: 1954
QB Rating: 137.79
Touchdowns/Ints: 16/6
Yds Rushing: 160

It is pointless. This much is for certain:
Les has multiple losing records in conference for schools he has coached.
When Les speaks into the open mike, people tense up, check there seatbelt, and prepare for impact.
Outside of a vocal few on the Rant, Miles is correctly perceived as a poor coach.
Nick Saban is not coming back as HC of LSU.
There are other college coaches that would be major upgrades to Miles that would come to LSU in a heartbeat if they felt the administrative support is there and we expressed interest.

He did. Remember that Saban had, what.....2 good seasons while at LSU? Will have to research that one....
Posted on 12/11/09 at 2:11 am to LSU32
AFter the UAB game, people wanted him out ala Miles in '05 UT game.
Posted on 12/11/09 at 2:12 am to SaintsXLIV
Saban didn't get all the crap because he was better then what was at lsu (Dinardo). While Miles in the meantime has to be equal or better then Saban in the fans eyes.

Jedi mind trick...
Reporter: What happened out their Coach Saban?
CNS: Nick Saban is not responsible for this loss.
Reporter: NIck Saban is not responsible for this loss.
CNS: Isn't it time for Erin Andrews to conduct a private interview with me?
Reporter: Can someone send Erin over for an interview?
CNS: yes... come to the dark side...
