The media is pushing for a SEC "dark-horse". An example of that would be that Ole Miss was ranked #4 last year, and we all saw how that dark horse ended in the race.

Because they have a coach who has a great offensive system with a good QB. If they have an even remotely decent defense they will be in contention for the West
How prolific was that offense against Bama,Florida and LSU? Not too explosive against Ole Miss either.
How good was Petrino's at Atlanta?

It's mostly because of Mallett & all the high expectations surrounding him. Seems like most media love high powered offenses and the Hogs stand out in this year where many predict tougher defenses in almost every major conference.

Did ULM play Arkansas last year because that is the only way you should be referring to "us".

Lets look at the last four year rivals recruiting rankings:
Alabama 2010(5), 2009(1), 2008(1), 2007(10)
LSU 2010(6), 2009(2), 2008(11), 2007(4)
Florida 2010(2),2009(11),2008(3), 2007(1)
Arkansas 2010(49),2009(16),2008(36), 2007(31)
Maybe this will prove that all the stock that people put in numbers next to a high schoolers name is pretty much a guess. Yes there are players that are 5 stars and play like it but there as many four stars who play like ones as there are as many ones who play as fours. At this level the X's and O's has just as much to do about a team as the johnnys and the joes.
