Do any of you remember that your football god, Saban, was 9 - 3 his last year here, after a national championship year?
Do you remember that he barely beat Troy, Oregon State and Ole Miss that year, got blown out by Georgia and lost to a Big Ten Iowa school in the final bowl game (on a defensive secondary screw-up, even though he was allegedly a "solid gold secondary coach")?
Do you remember that the 2004 season occurred when Lord Saban had 4 years of recruits under his belt?
You act like Saban was undefeated every year that he coached at LSU. His 4 years at LSU can't touch Les Miles' 4 years at LSU - not even close.
Let's see what happens when Saban's assistant coaches start leaving annually (remember, they did at LSU as well) and when his players start quitting the team (like they did at LSU). Saban has already lost a few assistant coaches and the trend will continue.
Hands down - I'll take Miles as the leader of our LSU team anytime, any day.
I want a coach that defends his players, his coaches and his team in public.
I want a coach that has character and is loyal to our school and his team.
I want a coach that is honest with his players and our fans.
I want a coach that is positive and that I am proud to say represents LSU.
I want Les Miles and I don't want Nickie Saban.

Well said.
Now about the LSU vs. ala. game 2008, with J.Jefferson(I know he hadn't played yet) as our QB, LSU wins 40-20. There would be no interceptions.
LSU vs. ala. 2009, LSU wins that game as well if he is not injured and plays the whole game. (I hope no one tried to injure him!)
This Sat., LSU beats Ole Miss. when J.Jefferson plays the whole game and is 100% physically.

Awesome rant...really is.
Got me pumped......until I remembered that the reality is that Bama is about to finish its second consecutive undefeated SEC season in a row while LSU hasn't won a truly meaningful game during the same time.

That first part literally made me laugh out loud.
Thanks, I needed that.
Man, intrepid & a soothsayer....double POW.
What would the scores of those games have been if Tommy Hodson had quarterbacked? What about Jamie Howard?
I like this game.

We've had the more stable coaching situation of the 2.
I think most would agree that we currently have as good if not better talent on the field.
We've had damn near as highly ranked recruiting classes.
However we've lost to UF, BAMA, and ARKY 2 years in row. God forbid we lose this weekend and we have to add another team to that list.
All the while they are going for their second undefeated SEC regular season something I'm not sure if we've ever done.
What could it be?
With JL serving up two pick sixes in regulation, it still took Bama another JL interception in overtime to beat us last year. LSU was beating Bama most of the game this year, despite the refs, but in the end - with injuries mind you - the refs & Bama were too much.
LSU >>> Bama
Get over yourself Gump - Bama ain't all that.

So it sounds like there are defensive issues and offensive issues, but everyone just wants to replace a d coach here and an o coach there. When is it time to replace the 1 person responsible for all the player and coacxhing decisions that plague the team?
When he's not going 50-13 over less than 5 years, blowing people out in bowl games, recruiting top 5 classes and keeping LSU as one of the top programs in the country all while representing the program with class and integrity.
My God you people are insane. We're 8-2. We're well stocked for the foreseeable future. This is the SEC. You're not going to win it every year. My God you all have turned into the worst fans in the SEC. I hope none of you are making fun of Bama fans because you all = Bama fans on crack!
