I still hold out hope that JJ will eventually get it, like most young QBs when they get past those first couple years. He has all the tools to be elite I just don't know if he has "IT" between his ears.
It has nothing to do with coaching, he needs to go out a make plays when we need them!

jj put up pretty good stats for a 1st year starter without any help from the running game and an inept o line. so no the stats don't make me look stupid, its makes all these dumbass has beens or never was look stupid when they praise flynn to the high heavens and then in the same breath say jj doesn't have IT. he put up the same numbers as a 5th year senior with no help and half the peolpe on here blame him. i'm sorry to have to say it but if jj were white he'd be touted as having so much heart and courage to get back up after his o line couldn't block anybody. he'd be loved for leading us to a 9 win season on the strength of his arm alone. sorry, but its damn near fact

TT had a great game, JJ benefited statistically from that.
JJ was much better against Arky, than he was against Washington. He would barely even throw past the LoS in the Wash game.

As a 19 yr old 1st time thru SEC schedule true So. JJ ranked 5th in the SEC in Passing Efficiency and helped his team to a 3rd place finish in the SEC, but yet we have those explaining why he isn't an "sec type quarterback".
He is a young, talented guy whose future is ahead of him... some need to chill and give the teenage time to mature.

He has the physical skills he just doesn't have the mental toughness, football smarts, or killer instinct that a QB needs to have. Doesn't mean he can't develop it, but for now he doesn't have it. Also, he does not have good mentoring and tutoring from Les Miles and Gary Crowton.
