What's your point? Things aren't working out for him here. Dude wants to leave, let him.

How productive do you think he would be unhappily burried on our depth chart?

most coaches dont let transfers sign with a team that they will play. i guess miles made an exception this time.

it still sounds like phelon's schollie was not being renewed and due to this, miles isn't playing hardball with where he'll end up

If we can stop a young player with potential from going to a rival school, we should do it. Phelon knew the rules when he signed with LSU.

You're a hard man Draconian.

Like I said before, If he really wants to finish his education at the University of Alabama then that's fine by me, but suiting up for the Crimson Tide is a different matter.

There are 120 DI-A schools. You can't go to 8 of them (I would also block a UF, UGA or UT transfer), I don't think that's unreasonable.

My guess is that he showed up every day he was a Tiger, practiced hard and did everything the coaches asked of him. Numbers/depth then bit him in the arse.

Les Miles, being a class act, allowed a player that he recruited - a player who honored the terms of his recruitment - to leave and do what's best for him since he wasn't going to see the field here.

Urban Meyer and Nick Saban probably wouldn't have let him go to a divisional rival, but I'm glad Les did.

And I'm glad Les is our coach.

I don't care where he goes. With Phelon, I still don't think Alabama can beat us.

it's not that. we have a #s issue

we over-signed our last class a bit and lafell didn't leave. i think we were 3-4 schollies short

i don't think hatch's schollie was renewed either and that's why he went back to harvard

Are there exceptions to your prohibition?

sure, if someone really sucks and we can get one of those schools to waste a scholly on him, he can go

even so, that means he's one of the bottom players on the roster.

no it doesn't

it just means that he's (1) young enough to transfer somewhere and (2) at the lower-end of a deep positional grouping

we would look like total tools cutting a senior like mccray. we also can't cut a scrub OL b/c we have shite OL depth.

cause miles isn't an a-hole. i've never understood blocking a STUDENT-athlete from going to a certain university. LSU doesn't own PJ....it didn't work out so he's going elsewhere.

i wish him the best of luck

It would be blocking him from playing football at a certain university, not simply completing his education at the school of his choice. Big difference.

and I for one have no problem with it whatsoever.

No, we don't own him as a person, but we do own his eligibility.

Oh I don't care, he can go. He's fallen flat on his arse since he's gotten to LSU. I was just letting the posters who said let him go back to his "home" as if the schools he was looking at were closer to his family. Which is not true.
