And how poetic that Miles son will now sit behind one of the larger failures of his dad's coaching here.

Hey many, now you'll see what it feels like to automatically lose your chance just because an offense is "spread" and the coach plays the black guy first. We chased off a lot of great talent because Harris was you dad's guy....Have fun watching mediocrity.

And now Miles attends the games and pulls for Harris again!?

The eyeballs test shows lsu's oline being very good in every game but one.
People that get paid to evaluate oline agree with me. I dont care about the opinions of people that think they can rank olines musing tv broadcast. I'll take the opinions of writers paid to evaluate football that have access to the all 22 film.
Common sense tells me lsu's oline was very god last year. If your common sense tell you something else then you clearly dont pay attention to other programs and other teams' oline play.

Chark had 3 carries for 51 yards, not really any result of the OL there.

Without Chark's carries, that's down to 4.0 ypc, not good for college. Not to mention we clearly had trouble in the red zone blocking guys, we scored 10 points and tried how many times to punch it in with goal to go runs? First drive of game we were successful then after that had 10 rush attempts in goal to go situations with 3 points to show for it. Also had a fumble in there where Guice was met in the backfield as soon as he got the ball.

I would not use that game as showing any real success of the OL.

We had 4 guards and 1 tackle. That 1 tackle was playing center.

Agreed, still think it was incredibly dumb Pocic never got a real crack at LT/RT. Malone is clearly not an OT and Weathersby was an injured mess most of season and we were putting guys like Teheuma out there for whatever reason in place of him.

Do you still keep in touch with Cam Cameron?

I don’t. Last time I communicated with him is when I opened the process back up, looking to transfer. He contacted me and said, ‘Hey I saw.’ Gave me some suggestions. We met before he packed up his stuff and left. He’s busy right now. There’s an open line of communication if he needs to reach me. But currently we don’t speak on a day to day basis or a weekly basis.

What kind of advice did he give you?

He kind of told me that he thinks I’m made for a spread system, that he could see me at a Texas Tech or Ohio State-type offense.

Did you and Cam have those discussions last offseason?

Yeah. It was more about being consistent. That way he could show that we could move on to this offense, just being consistent on early downs the way he could try to implement this offense. Again, it just didn’t work. It just didn’t work.

In your own words, Brandon.

I’ve learned everything happens for a reason. That’s a great question — why didn’t it work here? I have no idea. You can ask yourself that about 13 other quarterbacks who transferred away from here in 10 years.

I have been assured that none of that is the fault of Miles, and every guy who transferred simply wasn't good enough physically or mentally.

Did he say HIS DAD reached out to the coaches last year? A college athlete having daddy call the coach is a guy I don't want on my team. Sorry but there's enough of that shite going on in high school and with younger kids.

Grow up, Brandon

Not defending Miles at all, but what QB has been successful after a transfer from LSU in the past 10 years?

Anthony Jennings comes to mind and I wouldn't consider that successful

Jeez, Brandon. Just own up to the fact that you had ample opportunity to prove you could do it but buckled over and over, and Etling flat out won the starting role from you.

His view is horribly skewed. His self awareness is just as bad as his on the field awareness.

A few of those QBs would have been terrible no matter where they went. I know this is only a few out of 13, but this particular point though touches on the inability of the staff through the years to evaluate QB talent consistently.

Exactly. And the guys who beat out the transferees weren't exactly lighting up the scoreboard.

I'm glad this chapter is ending. Cam and Les never could get it together and it appears Brandon couldn't either.

He was a heralded Louisiana recruit and we all wanted him at LSU- the results of next year will tell us whether the blame was more with coaching or the player. I have a hard time believing he is going to walk onto UNC's campus in July as the heavy favorite to win the starting job after not playing over the last 3/4 of a season, but if he does, and does well, I'll see that as an indictment of coaching.

bullshite. He gets the ball right where a rb would get it. If we are taking away Chark's carries then we should take every stretch or outside run.

What? In no way is 4 ypc not good.

Of course you wouldn't because you're trying to argue against our oline being one of the best in cfb.
Our oline played well against Florida.

We ran for 219 yards and gave up 1 sack. In no way can that be described as anything but a good game.

Even less sacks would have occurred if we had a QB that made better reads and got the ball out of their hands even quicker.

Harris has all of the physical tools but I just don't feel he had the mental commitment to exploit a defense. Even in the interview I get the feeling he doesn't research or recall specifics (just look at the Moreau comment). I say commitment because I don't believe he is "dumb" I just feel he's not the QB that is going to be the first to show and last to leave leader that reviews film and works with coaches to dissect the upcoming game and be ultra prepared. It's almost like he felt his physical tools will carry him and the coaches can handle the rest. Maybe that's why he appeared lost and hurried a good bit.

So which signee was good enough physically or mentally to take over the start?
Cameron should've started Etling from 2nd half of Bama '15 after INT and hernia thing supposedly happened and he might still be working.

I dont understand how anyone could say our oline didnt play good against florida.

We gave the least amount of sacks against UF.
We had the most 1st downs of any team UF played.
We ran for 219 yards.
We threw up on ourselves in the red zone.

He and Miles had more chances than they deserved to prove everyone wrong. I was hoping Harris would turn out to be much more than he was, but he couldn't handle it. Damn the excuses.

He's about to get his chance, and I hope he succeeds, but we'll prob never hear his name mentioned again after next season.
