wow, you don't think he ever becomes a full time starting qb?

Just a Percy Harvin type? which might be more beneficial to Shep's career because the NFL scouts will doubt his ability to be a qb in the league.

I see Shep as an exceptionally special player. Great leader, great intangibles, very smart. Def needs to develop as a passer, and he has the work ethic to do so, and at this point I haven't seen enough from Jefferson.

it has some to do with his deficiencies as a passer and a lot to do with the roster

JJ will be the starter for the first 3 years of shep's career

i think by that time, garrett will be the starter

The answer to the OP is no, simply because there will be dozens of ideas among the bandwagons on here how to use RS. No matter how he isused, someone will disagree. I say pr/kr plus offensive duties to get him the ball 15 plus times a game.

Are you talking about this year only or his whole career at LSU?

What say you?

Luke..may the force be with you. Cause, you need all the help you can get. All the players you mention have had multiple touches and have had varying degrees of success. By rule, you can only have 11 players on the field at any one time and the coaches field the players they feel have the best chance of executing the play. 43-11 tells anyone with a fully functioning mellon that Miles and Crowdon know what the 'f' they're doing.

If LSU wins every game, he was utilized to his potential. If LSU loses a game, Crowton and Miles don't know how to utilize talent.

Some may feel holliday, Perilloux, Keiland were under used 07?? Truthfully (TH) without his speed is below average!! He has poor vision, and until this summer he's been very unsure with fielding kicks. (KW) had a great run against VT, and got some good reps with and outstanding back like Scott;however, Miles will play the Senior/most sure running back usually ex. Joseph addai... Jacob Hester both play in the pros now. Finally Perilloux had good option runs in 07 but clearly he didn't understand the offense that well as effident in the 07 SEC championship if Miles pushes him over MAttFLynn a 5th yr. sEnior who knows the offense inside and out. then Perilloux loses us at least 2 more games and we play in the Peach bowl 07....

Shepard can possibly be a starting QB 2-3 years from now. As far as him being utilized to his potential, I belive he'll be utilized to nearly 100% of his potential. He's practicing at QB,WR, and RB. LSU has the next Percy HArvin but better because, Shep throws well. *IF* JJ/JL can read the defenses they both have the other tools to be an SEC champ QB. It isn't logical to tie up your most vesatile player "Shepard" to 1 position QB, when you can us him at 3 (QB,WR,RB)different positions making the defense work that much harder.

I'd rather have him and not need him than need him and not have him
