Have them play at Rivercenter for a year and get it done.

Just bring some rope and rope yourself off twenty or thirty seats, it'll be just like a suite

Just start a drive after the sez is finished and build new in five tears. It will help with recruits and the high rollers will open their wallets for fancy new suites or club seats.

my thoughts exactly. might take more than a year though. Or put 'em back in the Cow Palace - vintage.

There will be a NEZ expansion at some point in time. If I had to guess the priority building schedule after the SEZ expansion is done, it would be a new or renovated basketball arena and a new or renovated natatorium. Followed by the NEZ expansion, after demand for new Tiger Stadium suites has built to the point where sales are assured. LSU is on a drive to add premium seating to many of it's sports facilities. Remember, Alex Box just added six suites to satisfy the demand there. And we know the SEZ was more about "suites than seats" according to Alleva.
Also, LSU Athletic Department always builds or renovates two to three projects at a time. Witness the current one, where the SEZ expansion also saw a new Indoor Tennis Center built along with renovations to the Fieldhouse.
In the last couple of years we've seen a new Band Hall, a new Volleyball Practice Facility, and a new Basketball Practice Facility built. So look around, and take notice of which athletic facilities need work the most, and that will most likely be where LSU & TAF will put their money next.

They should renovate the Cow Palace. At one point it was the biggest coliseum in the US bigger than Madison Square Garden by 6 ft

Raising the roof is not structurally feasible.
We've already seen how it could be done, as it's being done with the SEZ expansion. Basically, the roof comes off and the new addition is a free standing structure that connects to the old on top.
The only issue would be the space between the PMAC and the track. Not sure if there would be enough room for the supports. Perhaps they could be cantilevered.
My money would be on a whole new arena though. I think the space the PMAC's in now could be better used both for track and for football gamedays.

Well then where would the BBall arena go? I say put in where Alex Box used to be (if you could fit it) but they already have plans for that space. I wouldn't mind them playing elsewhere for a year or two and building a new arena on the same spot.

LSU is building it's new Indoor Tennis Facility down Highland due to space limitations on campus. There is plenty of room there for either a new basketball arena or a new natatorium. Or both, if necessary. There also will be plenty of parking available.

All they have to do is remove the top eight or so rows of seats at the top of the PMAC and add suites all the way around....or just on the side court sides. Take a look at how UT did it with Thompson Bowling Arena. The place looks pretty nice on the inside...
