On the dime.

If you keep your eyes on the sidelines, you will get to see him all game long.

If we were afraid to let him throw against Tulane with an 18 point cushion, how the hell do we expect to play him against the #1 team in the nation.
If you believe Miles, they weren't afraid to let him pass, but were afraid to pull Lee right after the pick 6 and shatter his confidence. I think JJ will play and run the option a few times Saturday. And I bet he throws at least 1 pass.

I doubt jefferson passes. No need to create a qb controversy.

I was thinking something like what RP did against Virginia Tech

Yes he will play! They aren't afraid to let him throw the ball. Anyone saying otherwise is delusional.

After the way they let Jefferson air it out against Tulane, just call me delusional!

I was dissapointed Gary Crowton didn't put in Jefferson with such a large up-ahead margin. I was expecting him to at least put a lot of the 4th quarter. He didn't get his medical redshirt because LSU can't afford it. T.C McCartney is already redshirted, Hatch is hurt, and Lee was shaken up a little bit in Tulane. In conclusion, they have no choice but to not redshirt Jefferson because of the limited options. Right now, it is just Lee and Jefferson in the QB slots.

isn't he the walkon?

I think he sees considerable playtime only if Lee gets hurt or plays really, really bad!
Gotta disagree there. That's the one thing that really bugs me about Miles. He doesn't want to pull his starters.
IMO, Toliver, Baker, Jefferson, and a few others should have seen meaningful time by now. Toliver especially. The kid is a beast. And Baker...I'm stunned at how this kid hasn't gotten a shot at LB yet. He's an absolute missle.

If one were to look at the facts, they would deduce that it is you, in fact, who is delusional.

maybe we will see JJ in a RP role from VT last year
although we were up big against VT, I don't think it would be a bad idea to establish JJ on the run and then let him bomb one down the field. What's the worst that could happen? An INT? im sure JL will have us covered on those anyway...

And if he wasn't, they shouldn't have played JJ at all.
If we don't see the occasional relief package with JJ for this game, I will be pissed at the coaching staff for wasting a year of eligibility with JJ and decimating a Matt Flynn senior year style opportunity for him down the road.
He is THE back up now. He has to be ready to play and even get a few snaps when he can. Dude, look at the situation. Lee is a freshman himself...he still needs all the snaps he can get to improve and get experience. We were going to give a shirt to JJ but that all tanked with Hatch going down. We are in the worst of all positions to be in with our QB....no upperclassmen. Having to depend on 2 freshmen and not really able to get one enough snaps because the starter needs them badly. And on top of it all....a spoiled fan base who has zero patience and will tolerate no learning curve from inexperienced young men.
