Funny how you kind of just gloss over 2004, which was a hard year for our offense. In 2004, people were talking about how long we could endure the "Saban Roller coaster" . You do remember that year don't you ? You remember Oregon state, right ? And Iowa ? auburn ? barely beating Troy by four points? a THIRTY point loss to Georgia ?
I do. It followed a national title season. Which most actual football people know usually leads to a down year. A championship we hadnt seen in almost 50 years. And with the bad offense ( Not as bad as this one) we still got to the Capitol one bowl. Which we can this year to. 2004 was one year and then we got a new coach. 05 was Miles first year and we all expected growing pains. They suprised us and had a great team. 07 title. Then the last two years have been similar. We have been pulling in the same top talent we were in the early 00's, but not the same result. The discipline is the thing that has bothered me. With Meyer and Saban equaling us in talent, it now falls all on coaching. We havent come out on top in two years which hints that we are being passed up. Hints mediocrity. We may not be in the middle of the pack nationally, but we r heading there as far as SEC goes.
