1095C - Why are we still getting them?

Supreme court ruled that we can't be penalized for not having health insurance years ago. So why are we still asked about breaks in coverage and getting sent the 1095C?

It is more to prove your employer provided you health care coverage.
They are required to provide proof of minimum health coverage

My understanding is that the law is still in place and the ONLY thing that changes is that you can no longer be penalized. But you are still "breaking the law". so they are still checking for compliance.
