Are you strapped for money? Why not hold onto it?

I jumped off the train a while ago, saved me about another 30% loss.

But I'm not done with you UGAZ!!! I'm not done in the least!

UGAZ - the after hours volume is ridiculous, 6.7 million, and it's trading a little higher, 2.52

UWTI is going down, 3.79

we'll see what happens

Not at all. I'm honestly just tired of losing my arse and fricking with it.

I can make it back with one real estate deal easy so I'm really not that upset about it.

It does suck thinking about what 10k could have bought me though.

Oh well.

I haven't been paying attention to the NYMEX strip for a while. The curve is big time contago and there are some huge spreads out there. Almost 30 cents to Mar-Aug and over 50 cents Mar-Dec.

If you chart a gas futures curve from any point in time it usually looks something like this (outside the green box):

The upward "hump" reflecting the seasonality of prices, i.e. higher prices in the winter, lower in the summer. Keep in mind these are just the futures, actual prices for these contracts as they settle are a bit lumpier (see the green box). Right now the curve is upward sloping from today through balance of winter 2016. What does this mean for actual prices in the near-term? I dunno.

Thanks, it makes a little more sense now.

Recap of today's action:

CAK - 10 shares bought at 0.39 and sold today at 0.32 for a total loss of $0.70

UGAZ - sold all 21 shares at 2.65 for a net loss of about $15.

All of the loss came from selling my first UGAZ purchase (10 shares at 4.22). The other 11 shares were sold at a profit.

All in all though, I'm up $2.79 (I have $102.79 from my original $100 invested).

If you take out the original purchases of UGAZ and CAK, I've made about $17 off of $55 in UGAZ and DGAZ.

So I'm starting to get better.

I am guessing you are doing this on robinhood? Otherwise fees would be terrible.

I'm holding 2000 shares@ 2.67, going to ride it out today and tomorrow. Getting out Friday at the latest once these storms in the NE have passed.

So we don't expect the uptrend for the next month or so to continue?

It seems like colder weather is starting to set in but I don't want to be in UGAZ during the report tomorrow. I'll take my 20% profit for two days and look to invest after the report tomorrow.

I think from a technical standpoint if it can hold above this $3 mark it has some room to run. Who knows what it will do after the injection report, as last week it really didn't have much of an effect.

I have a small position, and will feel really good about it if it holds above $3. Even if it holds around $2.75 by the end of the week, I think that's bullish for the intermediate term.

**Disclaimer: I don't know shite

Bought 3 shares UGAZ at 3.09 and one share at 3.07 this morning and sold all four at 3.10 for a huge profit of $0.06 (about 0.48%).
