I bailed on my long.
will get back in if it drops further.
I had bought in June initially at 25ish, lost 40% doubled down, sold, bought, sold, bought, did a few puts and FINALLY got barely back over even...I'm worn out!
time to go buy a 10 yr t-note or something and take a nap
ETA: serious thanks to Iowa & Force for the info on this

Force - Why do you think there is one more dip left?
Posted on 11/6/14 at 2:32 pm to L S Usetheforce
Force you selling some today? Didn't you have a 17'ish first sell point?

I'm tempted to get back in DGAZ right now. Still don't understand todays movement and it is CHEAP right now.
Posted on 11/6/14 at 3:38 pm to rintintin
Yes sold 1000 shares @ 17.50........Still long for UGAZ @ 5k shares..........
However this is the weather bump......not truly reflective off the supply/demand and moreso reactionary on weather.....
I still think UGAZ will dip.......
I am however not advising anybody buy DGAZ.....its not worth the undeniable risk.........
This isn't even close to the bottom for DGAZ.......I don't see how that etf survives the winter without bottoming out at 2 bucks.

Can you help me understand todays movement?
Production is at all time highs.
Injection was MUCH higher than anticipated
However, we are about 5% below the 5 year average for storage.
Is this weather related?

COLDEST WEATHER OF THE YEAR combined with 10% below normal storage levels.........
These NG traders love the weather.........I've always felt these guys when studying this market were super reactionary but when you think about it if they get volatility in the market then they get big movements and they usually make money.
I still think we have a cold winter and we will see UGAZ in the 30s @ one point but for now........this is temporary.....Next week will still produce storage and I think people will dump profits and UGAZ will drop one more time.........
This will be your last chance to get in.............from there just deal with the dips pick a sell point for UGAZ on what makes you happy and make some gumbo.
frick Bama. I'm catching a plane to NOLA tomorrow and plan on spending some profits on booze.

info for various brokers
CRITICAL to only use limit orders though, volume is very thin and market orders could fill at who knows what...
depending on the broker you use, you may or may not easily see after/before hours prices in your quote..you'll see prices as bid and ask, but not as 'last' in many cases. call your broker and get details

My broker won't let me place a market order after after hours, limit only.
I may have left a few dollars on the table, but I looked at the delayed orders and went a little over that.

This is for anyone: I'm trying to understand this whole natural gas thing to maybe fool around with it this time NEXT year...
UGAZ bottomed out at $13 in October of 2013, and it just bottomed out around $10 this October.
Why was UGAZ $42 in October of 2012? Is it NOT strictly a seasonal thing? Is it just as much a supply/demand thing?
I know it's probably to basic of a question...just trying to learn (meanwhile I'll be searching within this thread).

Any estimates on injection numbers over the next two weeks.?
Looks like this cold weather snap is going to stick around for 4 - 5 days in the North/Midwest.
Could have snow/ice as far south as central Louisiana next weekend. I will be buying back into UGAZ come Monday morning.
