It's up a dime again overnight. Cash was up a dime to $4.01. December to $4.517, Jan to $4.606 and Feb to $4.54.

My Jan/Feb $4.50 calls are looking sweet. My Jan UNG $21 calls are fine as well.

I would think it goes up over the next couple weeks. Starting tomorrow the high in Fayetteville, AR won't get over 45 degrees for the next 9-10 days. The lows are expected to be below freezing everyday for that same time period. This should hinder injections.

The cautious Bull (who makes more sense to me at least):

LINK

I will say while he did correctly locate contango between HH cash delivery and December contracts, the one thing he overlooked is that there is always the largest differential between cash and December historically for obvious reasons related to weather.

It's early. I'll check again Wednesday for additional votes. I go to First Energy Financial. Some of the voters have more credibility obviously.

If you drill down in to the usage and geography it is most helpful to me at least.

Also, the swaps, open interst etc, if you really want to dig in to minutia.

I think it will be a climb this winter with dips. Maybe not as violent as the ride up last winter.

I could see users switching to oil and coal to damper demand a tad.

You should be fine with DGAZ. It Natty Gas jumps up, just keep it until next spring, early summer. Seems like if you don, you've just placed the inevitable short that the rest of us are going to eventually be doing.

By the way, I just realized I need to start buying short gas for next warming and injection season. What better time to start? Right now when no one is thinking about it. Except for maybe 3 people on here, and the professionals.

I'd rather not start a new thread, and this is not totally unrelated so...

IG or anyone who knows:

As far as crude ETFs go, is DBO relatively safe? From what I understand, no oil ETF actually represents the spot price of the commodity but reflects futures and other things of which I am ignorant (Contango and Backwardation).

With that said, DBO is not leveraged, right? It has comparitively low volatility. Is it a good ETF to take advantage of low crude prices? To hold until they climb higher?

How much of a pain in the arse is a K1 form?

ETA: DBO

Cash and December at equilibrium this morning. Shorts should be ahpppy. My instinct is that short isn't a really smart play right now, at least long term.

I got nervous I'd miss it and put in way too high yesterday.

Oh well, my profits will still look nice at my sell point.

Is there a way to search large buys of UGAZ and DGAZ?

Yes. In real time on Level II. I'm not sure how you would do it retroactively though.

Graph with volume bars? Wouldn't necessarily show big buys, but when volume spikes hard, I would think it's often a large trade? Certainly not solid, but better than nithing
