My Brokerage doesnt allow me to buy any type of stock related to Cannabis. If i try to buy a stock/etf related to it i get this error: Error: The security entered is restricted from trading. Also noticed if i try and buy SVOL etf it says this is also restricted from trading. I wanted that one because of the dividend but i guess that isnt happening either. Anyone else restricted from buying certain stocks/etf's online?

Change brokers. They are providing a service to you that you are paying for.

Some brokerages also avoid trading in leveraged ETFs. It's called "bad business."

They would argue it’s called risk management. If a sleeve of products are going to generate .5% or their revenue but 20% of their complaints, for example, then they’re going to restrict those investments.

I’m making up those numbers obviously, but that’s their logic.

Fair enough.
