It’s interesting to see this thread now as most of the companies mentioned are either out of business or out of the state. I sold my agency in January of 2020 and Federated National was one of the carriers we had the most business placed with. Was surprised to hear of their struggles but not nearly as surprised as UPC. Imperial was sold to National General probably not long after this post was made. Maison isn’t over surprising. They had loose underwriting guidelines at first and then got a little more strict as the years went on but were still a relatively smaller company.
