I have been trying to do some comparison of different investment fund options and all I can really do for an apples/apples comparison is compare their performances over the previous 1yr, 3yr, etc. I'd like to compare options to what I actually did for the previous year. The problem is that my personal performance was impacted by me investing/buying every 2 weeks. Obviously the timing of my purchases impacted my personal performance.

Are there any tools out there that can use the daily value data for investments/stocks so that you can compare the performance for multiple options based on something like 2-week paychecks over the previous year? I get a feeling that many investments that got a 15% return last year probably had noticeably different performances if you were buying every 2 weeks all year long but I'd like to see some data on it.

I'm sure this is a silly question/exercise but if anyone does know, it'd be greatly appreciated.
