It is a shame that you know nothing about Dinar and post worthless information about IQD. Did you know that you could buy 500,000.00 worth of Dinar at capital One Bank, Whitney Bank, and Iberia Bank right here in Baton Rouge???? You can always sell your dinar back at anytime. Please do your research before posting bogus information.
You are correct. People on this board will post some info and have no clue about what they are talking about. The same thing happened in Kuwait many years back and I have friends that are damn happy they bought the money. Wish I would have listened to them. It's amazing how the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Maybe people need to listen to the rich. They got there for a reason.

Govs can revalue their currencies all the frick they want but its getting re-revalued by the market no matter what. Exchange rate or PPP.

Actually, she was only partially correct. Apparently sometime during the past six months the market changed and now the online folks offering dinars are willing to buy them back, albeit at a substantial discount. I have not bothered to call Whitney et. al to find out if they actually exchange dinars. I'm sure they engage in forex but that doesn't mean they exchange dinars, and their website offered no further clues.
Lastly, that poster is pretty rude and the part of the post you didn't quote shows she does not know what she is talking about. There is a markup - it's called the bid/ask spread. The dinar would have to go up a fair bit to cover that loss.

It is a big scam. A woman I used to work with did this and said she would travel the world. She is now on unemployment. I told her not to do it, but she did anyway.

How could a revaluation even take place with so many dinar in circulation. Iraq would have more currency in circulation than the US or European Union.

It is a huge scam. Spent time over there and know a bunch of people who bought. From everything I can tell the new government will most likely create a new currency and the dinar will cease to exist.

people dont understand the differnece between revaluing the currency and the exchange rate.....no matter how they revalue the currency it doens change how much it is worth in US dollars
As with everything else in life, things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Not sure why this is so hard to understand.

LOL a buddy of mine just called telling me that the Dinar is suppose to re-value over Labor Day! He told me not to tell many people though but he wanted to give me the inside scoop. He's an awesome friend... should I listen to him?

Why wouldn't an Arab country acknowledge an American holiday?

Does the length of this bump indicate just how long dinar lovers have been waiting for validation?
Posted on 8/25/11 at 9:48 pm to WhoGeaux
why in the hell did you bump this? This thing was what? 8 months old and dead!

Take the money you were going to invest. Take I-10 to New Orleans. Get off at the Tchoupitoulas/ St. Peter's exit. Walk into Harrah's and play. You'll likely break even or do better with your money.

While it may never rise back to its previous values, nor to the values of it's neighbors, Iraq's currency does have value. Anyone that bought Dinar in previous years, would be able to get out without losing much more than those that lost in the stock market in recent years.
