Spending Rewards Card with set amount online question

I googled, but not really finding an answer to my question.
I'm supposed to be receiving a $300 debit card of some kind from my health care provider for rewards to spend as I see fit.
Was thinking I would save it for Black Friday, but wasn't sure how it might work if I was trying to buy something for say $350 and the card only has $300 on it? Most online sites I buy from do not have a default for split payments, so would my only real options be to spend less than $300 online or use in a store somewhere?
Just looking for advice on how best to maximize this.

Load it to your Amazon account and be done with it if there are no spending stipulations.

Ah, you can load money from like a visa or something to your amazon account and then just spend it? I didn't realize that.
I really wasn't planning to use this on Amazon, probably on tools from Home Depot, but that might work as well.

Yeah just buy a gift card for the entire amount of the card
