No there isn't.


Yes there is. Your employer's unemployment insurance rate will increase in 2013 if the claim is succesfull.

Not always true. If he was the only one to claim and get unemployment, it might not change. It just depends on more than just someone claiming. If for 10 yrs straight no one has claimed and received unemployment against a company, then 1 person does, this won't increase their rate. Rate increases are to help offset companies that have a higher number of people claiming.

Plus, that isn't a future negative concsequence on the OP. That is on his former employer.

ok so I filed since I didnt know how long unemployment would last and apparently my company refuted it because I was fired for violating company policies. so if thats the case if I was to need unemployment does that mean i am not able to get it???

Its going to require you giving the Adjudicator assigned to your case more information about the nature of your separation.

Were you warned about the policy in the past? Were you aware of the policy prior to your violation of it? Do you admit to the violation of company policy?

If you were discharged for a violation of company policy that they can prove you were aware of its can be grounds for a denial of benefits.

If or when you receive a determination indicating whether you're approved or denied, keep in mind that you have Appeal Rights.

meh aint worth fighting over for $230 but I guess it would have really sucked had I actually needed to claim.
