Verbal only. My kids will eventually ask why I didn't float whatever grandiose college dreams (out of state, private, daughter thinks she's driving a pink G Wagon to class, etc.) their mom put into their heads. I'll just ask what mom did with nearly $400k in child support, and I'll wait.

it isn't. college isn't even necessary to have a great career. Hell, in another 10 years college will likely be detrimental to a lot of careers vs going to work for a company straight out of high school and the company provides on the job training.

Nah, those are just the facts. No 529 contributions happen that I don't make, no talk of going in state at least for undergrad (it's Texas, not Wyoming,) etc. Choices are made, and they have consequences. There is always the USCG.
