If you qualify you may look into some alternative investments like private equity deals. Maybe there’s a fund you could gain access to that is in your comfort zone. Just need to network to find those opportunities.

Agree on the syndicate type RE fund. Found one focusing on extended stay properties. Build, operate for a couple years and then sell. Very profitable segment of RE with traveling health care workers, executives and even storm cleanup crews. There's some consolidation happening too with larger players acquiring properties.
