What i have is what "they" call "good debt" student loans,
I'm no expert, but I would think the only good debt is money you can borrow at one rate and reinvest elsewhere for a higher return, or a debt that is secured. A student loan is neither. You can argue that education is important and over time you'll make more money than you otherwise would not have, and in general that is true, but at face value a student loan is unsecured and uninvestable, so I wouldn't consider it "good" debt.

It what my FA calls it, I think it funny when I hear people say it, but it makes me feel better when I hear her say that I have "good debt" vs "bad debt"

Student loans are getting paid off as fast we can can, if I remember correctly I think it's at a 2.3% rate and the SBA loan I took out after Katrina and used it to rebuild my home at 2.5%, So in theory, I did reinvest the SBA money back into my home.

I felt with the price of oil and all the plants and firms designing and building we were pretty sheltered.

We are IMO too but there will still be a pretty big fallout if the credit market is non existent

Yeah, there is a billion dollar project planned for gasifying petroleum coke in Donaldsonville but the financing is still being worked out. Projects like that may be very difficult to do now.
