My idea for The Clash:
1. Go back to Daytona (the oval).
2. Make it an actual shootout by having it only be 25 or 30 laps.
3. The short distance takes out the pit/fuel strategy. Cars can pit for tires if there’s a caution but they won’t have to pit for fuel.
4. No more than 16 to 18 cars in the race. Only pole winners from the season before. If there are any positions not filled by pole winners, then those can go to the most recent former Clash winners that are not already locked in.

Daytona 500 purse this year: $31,045,575
2025 purse: $30,331,250.
An increase of 2.35%
Crew changes:
Bob Pockrass
@bobpockrass
Tried to go through the full-time Cup rosters and find changes from Phoenix to Daytona. Can’t say I got all of them but tried to put down where they moved from (and who they replaced, where that crew member went)

I’m hoping they’ll move it up some to avoid the higher chances of rain Sunday evening.

Last year Cup was unscathed by weather. Looks like the payback is this year. Bowman was a mess. They won’t move time too many moving parts plus TV

Fox will probably not cover it if they do. Will probably be streamed on your local community access channels.
Fox will have reruns of married with children.

Single car runs only but remember some will get a sniff of air due to so many cars needing to stretch their legs before qualifying tonight. Others won’t show their hand and just want to check for leaks and such. Tonight we’ll know.
