You can't just leave out RBIs. That's a pretty important stat too.
I've figured out that you are huge about OBP. That's cool, it's a very important stat. And while Bonds may have stolen more bases, Griffey certainly had many more homeruns and RBIs. And he had a better overall batting average in those years. I would take the kid.

why are you so blind to think some of your beloved Yankees aren't or weren't clean?

Just to ask...Could Gibson with the tools he had then be as dominate in todays strike zone? I think he could but he would not have the same ERA as the zone has shrank and he would also been tossed a few times for buzzng people.

let me ask you a question...who fricking cares?
Dude, you're a joke. Who fricking cares? I can give you a shite tone of baseball fans and players who fricking care. The fact is while Barry Bonds was an outstanding player and would have been and might be a Hall of Famer, he also probably was on steroids at the time of his greatest seasons from 2001-2004. Now if that doesn't matter or bother anybody, then they have absolutely no idea about the importance of baseball and its records and the great history of the game. This shite does matter and people do fricking care about it.

why? so you you think the only reason Bonds was jacked was because of steroids? Take Steroids out the picture and what he would lose maybe 100 homeruns...and what was Aaron on at the time amphetamines? so take away how many?
Pitchers did it hitters did it...really I don't care

I see geaux is heavily involved in this thread so I guess Evan Longoria's name has made an appearance

Dude whatever. Bonds would not make my list at the end of the day. Sorry things got a little heated, but that shite happens. I'd go with Ruth as the best player of all-time.

When was he brought up in May or mid April?

Ruth's help was Gehrig hitting behind him.

I would have rather you just based it on homers than bring that garbage into it. Griffey played in much better lineups, and got more RBI. You cannot compare two different position players on two different teams in two completely different leagues with RBI.

Been a fan since 1995 when I was 5 year old. I have followed almost every game they have played either online or on tv. And thanks to mlb.tv, I can watch them whenever I want.
My dad has been a Yankees fan his entire life. He grew up watching and idolizing Mickey Mantle. He tells me that when he was little they were always on tv every saturday on cbs. So, they became his favorite team from a very young age.
So I guess his love of the team must have rubbed off on me a little bit. I can remember so many things from the teams of '98 and '99 when I was just 8 years old. Those were the great days of the Yankees in my lifetime, and I will never forget them.
I don't just become a fan of a team by jumping on the bandwagon after they win their first title in 86 years like half of the baseball fans of today have.

thats right I remember reading this...fair enough
I have been to the stadium multiple times...the first few very awesome but when that wears out the worst place to see a game..
have tickets for some time in late August.. I am going to try and steal something

Since I live in LA I don't get the chance to go to many games in NYC. I usually catch a game or two every year when they're in Texas, which is a couple of weeks from now. I wish I could go to a game one last time in the Stadium. I personally think it sucks that they are building a new one, but at least it is supposed to be completely awesome. This may be a dumb question, but who is your team geaux? The Cubs?
