Not saying it's the best, but for comparison here's Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium:
If as planned the south endzone is eventually renovated in the way the the NEZ was two years ago, here's what it would look like without the bleachers and Godzillatron:

UT's stadium is pretty cool, esp. that night picture of the exterior. But that jumbotron monstrosity sort of ruins it for me, at least in a college stadium.

I'm in Clemson right now. It looks pretty good.

Can you find the stadium?

Colorado State University. You just turned off Overland Trail. The "A" is there as CSU used to be Colorado A&M.

DKR is basically what BDS wishes it was..

I hoped you would appreciate that

I like Sundevil Stadium. It's a few short blocks from the bar scene in Tempe. But when it's still 100 degrees in late September and you're sitting in the east bleachers, you will cook. Tailgating leaves alot to be desired but the female population is very impressive.

Until DKR gets rid of Gadzillatron, Joe Jemayel Field/Facility in endzone/bleachers gone, and encloses that endzone, it isn't better than BDS, except concessions and bathrooms, of which can be accessed easily and are clean. Thank God they canned the track during the last decade, hate seeing them on Washington telecasts.
DKR will still lack an symmetrical upper on one side when they enclose it, but it will surely be a top five stadium once completed.
I've been to both, I vote BDS over DKR as of now head-to-hea, with neither my fav. But, Texas overtakes them once they finish DKR.
UGA's Sanford very clean and crisp, also like the street out the backdrop.
Neyland bricked is gonna be very nice, and rids them the Erector Set jokes.
FSU's Doak exterior has long been my fav.
OSU's Horseshoe very clean, did a great new endzone add-on, has the best exterior feature of an entrance in that oval(looks a national museum) and thanks for canning another track, we the tv public thank you.
etc..

BDS is Top Ten, but not best.
Hate the covered uppers, their lighting bands atop, their dated curves ala DKR and old Tigerstadium West Upper, as do Neyland's covered upper endzone. Not crazy about the round concrete ramps shooting out each four corners(ala old NY Giant and SD Charger and Aub, etc..setups)..nor bricking in them somewhat when doing the redux.
Love new glass entrance foyer and WOC, also new endzones..and Bear's mumblins pregame.

What about Malone stadium?

Posted on 3/27/10 at 2:20 am to WarhawkTiger6
I've never seen that many people in Malone Stadium. Except when ULM used to play LA Tech.
It is a very good stadium...for a I-AA school.
Cal's Memorial Stadium is one of those classic bowl stadiums that are rare nowadays. It is old and a little worn in terms of amenities but it has great history, a great setting, and offers great views:
I don't like Kyle Field at aTm. One end zone is open pasture while the other end zone has a ginormous bulging grandstand. The whole stadium looks off-balance, like it could tip over:

UVA's stadium is not even close to being one of th nicest ones. I am across the street from it for work once a month and I think it is very plain with no character. I personally was very disappointed when I saw it.

La Tech stadium and facilities literally are no better than West Monroe High School's. Matter of fact WMHS has better practice, strength and conditioning, and field houses facilities. Tech's practice area is a joke.
