I just don't see how 9 Big Ten teams can make it. Barring some major runs, there just isn't room for Penn State, Minnesota AND Michigan (maybe 2 of 3).

I don't either? I have 7 teams from the Big Ten in. I have Wiscy out. In reviewing, I think they get 7 in some sort of way (perhaps not mine). I know Wiscy is the 4 seed and I am being a bit unconventioanl here, but if they lose the 1st round game to OSU, how can I put them in? I think Minn just needs to get past NW and they're in, but it sure as hell wouldn't hurt to beat Sparty tomorrow afternoon.

I have Florida as a 9 because I have them winning the SEC tourney. 4 wins in 4 days over Auburn, Miss State, Tennessee, and then us. That is worthy of 9, IMO.

As for Marquette, I see your point...but UCLA is staying put for me. I realize James is hurt, but they have three other scorers. I do think they can beat Nova and they made a formidable St. John's look like dog crap yesterday. If they beat Nova today, give 'em a 4. The only problem I have set myself up for is how Nova retains a 3 with an opening loss.

Good points, nonetheless.

Thanks. I don't know why I bolded that. That' a strange tourney, making those teams wait so long for the c'ship.

Apparently I can't count. I think eight are in for now, excluding Minnesota, and the Gophers are getting all they want from Northwestern. Miami is also getting stomped, so maybe Virginia Tech is primed for a run.

Baylor-Kansas, WTF? Although this is much better than the tail-kicking the Jayhawks were getting earlier.

I love this time of year.

Agreed. Backing in here is a near-impossible task. Too many teams (and stolen bids) could jump them. Big East gets 7 teams.

Providence is def done.

Mizzou could gain a lot (Kansas's spot on the 3) by winning tonight and then tomorrow.

Doing my brackets now is more of a realistic thing as opposed to the Magic 8 Ball style I was using the last two months. I still have a gut feeling that the MWC sneaks in 4 teams, though.

The MWC has two teams in and three on the bubble. They really could sneak in four. That would be crazy.

It was possible, but jeez did they ever choke. Losses to teams they had no business losing to down the stretch. Granted, Baylor isn't near as bad as their record, but hey. It is what it is.

UNLV-SDSU could be a play-in game. I don't have UNLV in, but a lot of others do. If they can beat a team they are in direct competition with for the fourth spot out of that league, that would say a lot, even beyond the good wins on their résumé.

Marquette is laying an egg. So, I moved them...and I tink it made the bracket work out well.

Wow, Lundardi has UT in the 5-7 range.

My God, Bruce Pearl has more naked photos of people.

I don't care what SOS says, UT has had some baaaad losses and most notably their last one.

There is no earhly way they get a 5 seed. MAYBE a 7. 7-9 range seems right.

Here is their capsule. I say 7 or 8...for now.

TENNESSEE
Record: 19-11
Last 12: 7-5

RPI: 22
SOS: 2

vs. RPI Top 50: 4-6
Good wins: Siena, Marquette
Bad losses: Alabama

Arizona about to lose....looking like a good chance the 24 year streak is over. They are right on the borderline

Could be so. Might end up letting 9 Big Ten teams in after all...

All of the Big 10 teams came to play today. Everyone else seemed to play their way into the NIT.

Think Northwestern still gets in after losing to Minnesota?
