Colby and CJ aren't bad hitters so that's interesting

did someone say they weren't? but they don't get regular AB's and facing only 8 hitters can't be a bad thing...

I just said it was interesting since I've only seen ABs from those two. I didn't say it was going to matter or be an advantage.
The two teams are pretty equal for the most part but I do think the Rangers are much better defensively.

Rangers in six.

Go with Colby in game two, D-Holl in game three.

Cards finished the regular season ranked 23rd in overall team defense...the Rangers 26th

but I know I know this isn't the regular season, but just for fun during the postseason Cards are ranked 4th and the Rangers 5th....

Conflicting reports coming out re: Carpenter and elbow soreness.

Any insight?

Carp should be good to go for Game 1. I think everyone on our roster should be good to go as well.

Here's to one hell of a series

Couple of Cards "insiders" with conflicting reports. TIFWIW. But this guy (BBTiA) is my go-to source for Rangers news, so I don't think he'd arbitrarily post stuff like this.

Only place I can see the Rangers being superior defensively is in the outfield.

Cards have the advantage behind the plate.

Yeah. Have the Cards officially announced Carpenter yet? Or is it still just assumed at this point?

What stat is that specifically? Because it looks like you're going by fielding percentage. This stat isn't an accurate look of a team's defense because it does not take into account the range of a player.

Rangers have a higher defensive efficiency, higher UZR, and saved more runs defensively than the Cardinals.

overall team defense from MLB.com (all combined cats)

I mean you can use whatever you want to put the Rangers ahead in defense...it's all good
