I knew our offense would be a struggle this year but yeah, defense has been yikes too. But also Gonzaga’s O will be ungodly this year.

no they are not
they don’t have a true pg, only one that can consistently make the shot is braun, mccormick is good when he had another big on the floor...having to rely on him to be our big is troublesome as he gets in foul trouble often, the bench is weak this year, and the last recruiting class was just ok
just going to be a long year imo

Gonzaga looks really tall. Could be the small arena I guess but our starting lineup is 6’3, 6’7, 6’7, 6’10, 6’10 and they look just as big as that.

Been fairly happy with the offense so far. Knew we’d have trouble bringing to ball up but hopefully that will get better.

You’re super down on this year’s team. I’m the opposite. Agree with Arky that it will take some time.
Ochai, Jalen, and Braun can shoot. Thompson should be solid. Biggest issue is replacing Dok. I feel like this bench is better than what a lot of KU teams had. Might be a slow start, but I think they’ll be a Final Four threat at the end of the year.

Kansas has played much better than I thought they would but Gonzaga has so much fire power. If Suggs is going to be this good, they'll be very tough to keep up with

I said in another thread yesterday you might not find a better trio than Suggs, Kispert and Timme and those three have lived up to it today.
Add in Ayayi and Nembhard and this team will be real tough in March

Suggs is much better than I thought he would be. Still not a completely discouraging game from KU. Thought offense would be an issue, but looks like the defense needs to improve. Expect a bounce back tomorrow

Yeah, I’m very happy with what I saw today. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to this season but we should be in the mix at the end of the year.

100%. Definitely a fun start to the year, though. Been waiting for today since March.
