Pure luck last night, but after reading the thread and a few guys were on ark st here's what I considered before betting.Poor lines of reason as it may be, but hey it worked out.
Pre-game research-
Ark st avg 25 ppg vs teams above .500(2opp ranked top 15)
FIU avg 25.5 ppg on the road against teams below .500
Ark st play book is about 50/50 run pass so the clock was going to keep moving.
This led me to believe with Ark st wanting to keep ULL in their sites that the D would step up a little bit and hold them to 17-21 or so while Ark St would score 24-31.(The easy td in the last 2 min inflated that score by 7 as we know.
So I aimed to hit ark st -3 and under 54 parlay. I also had a slight interest in the over in case it were to get close so I teased ark st to +3 and over 48 and +3 under 60.(All bets hit)
I miss value when everything hits because i should have put the additional units on -3 U54, but I had not watched either of these teams all season.
Thanks MSB for the couple of you who got me thinking about this game. I almost didnt bet

I wouldn't say I am worried per se. I just think this may be the only game that Nutt makes it interesting with it being his former team. Do I think I he will? No.
But it's possible.
The Illinois line definitely has me concerned though. They are horrible ATS this year and it's down almost 2 points now.

I personally think we will win by at least 24. We win score and we score fast. So even if it's close for a half or so we can cover quickly.
It's important to note that we finally have an effective running game now that DJ and Green are running the ball. Wingo was awful and it's best special teams we've had it a while too.
It also helps that Ole Miss flat out can't score and houston doesn't have any outstanding NFL talent like in the past that he can ride all game. Everyone in the world knows what he'll do on offense, he'll throw a trick play in but it won't matter. I don't see anyway we are held to less than 40 now. In that case do yall really see Ole Miss scoring in the 20's or 30'? I don't.

Dennis Johnson, Joe Adams, J Wright, Cobi etc will have a field day. Too many weapons and that ole miss team has quit on it's coach. Easy money.
I have $250 on this game myself so I've put my money where my mouth is. The team will be hungry coming off the bye week too.

I'd be scared as shite because you know you can't score and you're facing one of the top 5 offenses in all of college football. Our team will be prepared and we will put up a lot of points.

Also, if it's true that Nutt is negotiating to resign there later that means he quit. See cotton bowl when Missouri took us to the woodshed. The players hear all of that talk to and wonder who their next coach is going to be instead of focusing on the game. I love this game and I NEVER bet on the hogs but this is too good to me to pass up.
I'll be pissed if we don't cover b/c that means I lost a bunch of money too but I thought the line would be in the 20's on open. Just too many pros on the hog side vs the cons.

After some decent plays and parlay hits last week I'm +50 units. NFL kills me tho. I'm awful at it. Anyways here are my picks of the week. All 2 units.
Arkansas -15.5, Texas Tech +30, Wake Forest -3, OK state -6.5, over 46 in LSU game, USC +8.5, and the proverbial Stanford -20.5 (this line is the same every week and Stanford covers in the 4th every time. Ride it til it bites ya).
