So you are saying that taking pain killers and an anti-inflammatory would have cured his numbness?
Seriously?
not only has he shitted up three threads with this, he believes that the pain killers and anti-inflammatory would have eliminated both the arm numbness and the resulting weakness IMMEDIATELY and allowed McCoy to play if he wasn't primarily worried about his draft status in APRIL
and furthermore he seems to be of the opinion that all injuries involving nerves and joints are the same and will be treated the same with the exact same IMMEDIATE results.
It is quite stupefying to be honest with you redd

A healthy kid who takes care of himself could not function on 2 Oxycodones he probably has never taken much more than an advil. Not like he is Brett Favre in the 90's.
A cortisone shot could have helped but not made him a better option than the back up QB was. His throwing would still be VERY limited. No touch. Probably would have fumbled a few times too. And dropped at least one snap if you can't feel your hand.
How horrible is their 3rd string guy? The second stringer I believe had a injury that cortisone probably helped. He took a shot like McCoy just not as bad. His throws looked like shite after that hit. He was constantly shown on the sidelines loosening up and throwing warm up passes. He was wincing and his throwing motion was elongated. How about Mack Brown not running a kid out there hurt.? Guy looked much better after halftime but not right. Maybe he had a shot and a couple Vicodin?
Speculation.........we don't know what Colt McCoy would have done and isn't individualized so just cause it happened for one doesn't mean it wouldn't happen for another.
THIS WAS ABOUT HURTING HIS DRAFT STOCK END OF STORY.

I still think he took a dip in the pussy pool and liked the way it felt and decided not to come back.

The injections and their helping guys backs that you are talking about is more for chronic conditions. This was a traumatic injury not cumulative or postural or overuse injury. The exam they were able to give in the locker room was limited. Xrays only. Which of course show no nerve or minute tissue inflamation. For an ortho surgeon to go in and inject a guy with no MRI to guide or CT scan. We aren't talking about a 70 year old guy who's quality of life is shite anyway so you take the risk. This is a 22 year old woth millions of dollars coming down the line. I think an MD being asked to shoot him up would pause at this.

since we don't know what happened in the locker room, did it ever occur to you that perhaps McCoy took the shot and put his pads back on and was waiting on the sidelines and hoping that it would work? and it didnt?
if he took the shot and it didn't work then yes they would probably keep that quiet to protect his privacy and also to prevent even more rampant speculation about his shoulder before his Pro Day.
I am just blown away that you assume a huge negative with a guy like McCoy when he has been an example of what is right with CFB for his entire 4 years.

no kidding
but like I said, he could have requested it and they could have given him the shot and then let him guide them with how he felt afterwards and the injury didn't respond in time for them to clear him to play.
If he took the shot and it didnt work then that would be a closely guarded secret that his "handlers" wouldn't want to get out until he recovered and could show the NFL scouts he can throw with no problems.

It's against admin ethics to ban people for being dumb. It's bad for business, and the rant probably wouldn't exist.
