In April & May 5 innings is good, but come June that needs to start getting stretched out to 6-7 innings.
Edit: Cosart will be up sometime this summer IMO

Unfortunately, You just can't rush your way up the minor league ranks with pitching. It's gonna take time...but hopefully McCullers excels and gets promoted to AA quickly.
I just can't wait for the day when the rotation is like this:
Norris/Harrell (you've gotta figure one of them will be gone by this point)
Lyles
Cosart
Folty
McCullers

Not with the way the Astros are running their Farm System this season. They are basically running with a 2 starting pitchers per game rotation for A, AA, and AAA. So the first 2 pitchers for each game are expected to go 4 to 5 innings each.

I think it would be a really good discussion to figure out the plans for the bullpen...because honestly, I think the Starting Pitching is going to be good in time.
Wesley Wright
I think it's time to cut ties with Wesley Wright. Lets see if we can't trade him for another left handed reliever. I'd love to see them get somebody like Charlie Furbush.
Hector Ambriz
I'm not a fan of Hector Ambriz. His pitches have little to no movement and he doesn't have an out pitch. He needs time in the minors to develop more.
Rhiner Cruz
I know he got sent down, but I think there is room for improvement with Rhiner Cruz. The guy has a live fastball, but needs a secondary pitch. Hopefully the AAA pitching coach will work with him on that.
Josh Fields
I still have high hopes for Josh Fields and I'm super happy with that pickup. He's just got to stay healthy.
That's about all I'm willing to hold onto with the current bullpen.
Prospects
2 prospects I think we could see soon is Kevin Chapman (part of the Bourgeois trade from KC)and Brady Rodgers (2012 draftee).
Potential Trades
I think they could do themselves a huge favor in trading for somebody like Louis Coleman with KC.
The Ever Elusive Closer
And lastly, I know it's a pipe dream, but lets cut ties with Veras and go spend a little coin and get Brian Wilson in here to close.

I hope McCullers can stick in the rotation but if not he has the stuff to be a good closer

Wesley Wright is our most tenured Astro and one of the veterans
It's sad how far into the ground Drayton ran the team into the ground. Drayton fricked it up and people are putting most of the blame on Crane
I mean Crane has said some things I don't agree with but Drayton is the reason we suck arse now.

Anyone know what the deal is with the Taiwanese pitcher, Chia-Jen Lo?
He had a solid Spring Training and then just dropped off the face of the Earth. He's been "Reassigned" for a while now. Is he hurt or did he go back to Taiwan to pitch to Manny? I was looking forward to having him get called up early this season - guy has pretty good stuff between 94mph fastball and his 82mph slider.

Theriot and Fontenot are available I believe, go out and sign them as well

I'm not saying go out and make an LSU MLB team. I'm just trying to think of good, fairly young relievers that will come on the cheap. Those guys just came to mind. I'd like Furbush, but I said I wouldn't mind trading for somebody LIKE Coleman. And the Beard is just a pipe dream.

Think joey belle and mike sirotka are still up for it? Maybe j.c. Holt and trey Hodges as well

I still think Appel will be the pick and will be up by mid 2015.

Whenever I read blogs with people commenting blaming Crane and Luhnow, I immediately know they don't know what the frick they're talking about.
