Winter meetings start tomorrow. Would be shocked if we don't come away with a reliever.

Been looking forward to this week since the season ended. I'd expect the first night or 2 to be low key with a lot of shite going down Tuesday and Wednesday leading up to the Rule 5 draft

Anyone else irritated with TradeRumors?

Every update, it's always the same update every day, 5 times a day with the same 5 teams.

#Dodgers #Red Sox #Giants #Cards #Nats interested in >insert player name here <

All last week, it was Dodgers and Giants for Greinke, no one else.

Boom. Arizona.

How would you guys feel about drew storen? Bad season last year but was really good in '14.

He was great last year until they went out and got that dip shite papelbon. He's been treated like shite in Washington IMO. I'd love to have him.

ETA: Did I mention they gave his job to dip shite rather than make him set up for Storen? Second time they've taken the closer job away from him for no reason at all.

Some ESPN writer (Schoenfeld?) Made winter meetings predictions. Astros trade for Chapman. Sign Chris Davis to a $115 million contract which allows us to trade AJ Reed. I'll vomit if we give 100 million to Chris Davis.

I think you're safe. I just can't imagine Lunhow pulling the trigger on that. I know that we're in a different phase now than when he first came aboard, but a move like that doesn't jive with what the Cardinals did while he was there.

He's worlds better than Chris Carter. No doubt. During 3 of his 4 full seasons in Baltimore he hit .270, .286 and .262. But he had the year last year where he hit .196 and 26 home runs. The potential is there for him to be a reallllly really expensive Chris Carter. He's done it before. I'd balk at giving him that kind of money.

I REALLY like Reed. Dude can just flat out hit. Hopefully we see him early in the year because he could make a real difference

Reed isn't going anywhere unless it's an overwhelmingly impressive trade offer. All signs point to him getting his shot right now.

Yea I looked at their list it's pretty good. Thought they just had Seager and Urias. This news might make us more aggressive and overpay for a rental, hopefully that doesn't happen

Not sure why LA would give up so much. Chapman and Jensen are both free agents after next season

Because Kansas City just won the title with a stacked arse bullpen. Now everyone wants to emulate that.

I want Chapman in a way but I don't know if I want Luhnow to pay the price for a guy thats around for 1 season and will likely be priced out of a re-signing.

looking at this team, I don't look at it and say yeah we're an elite closer away from winning a championship. I actually am worried that we might flame out this year. So much of last year was based on the longball.

Late-inning relievers are the new market inefficiency unfortunately.

Dodgers and astros have seemed most active on chapman. Word recently was houston and cincy were having hard time matching up
