Depends on how many other upper tier pitchers are available.

Astros shouldn't need a big free agent arm if Martes lives up to the hype he is getting.

His numbers were incredible the 2nd half of last season, if he keeps that up and most importantly shows he can stay healthy this year he'll get PAID

He will win the job in my opinion.

You're right. I'm a sucker for things celebrating the Irish. Except for Notre Dame, of course.

Marisnick 0 for 2 against Sanchez, two strikeouts. The second one especially horrendous. Up 2-0 and swings at three straight junk fastballs out of the zone.

Lunhow needs to draft at least three of the best college senior catchers he can in the later rounds and maybe find a diamond. 2013 Castro isn't coming back. Dude can't even hit a fastball.

Could see players union trying to make it easier to get grievances for purposeful service time hold backs

What about them? Not saying that sarcastically. Just nothing comes to my mind. You mean money attached to them changing or getting rid of comp picks maybe?

I like the system honestly. Load up on too many free agents you have to give up picks. I think it works fine but I don't focus on it much.

It screws guys like Ian Desmond, Yovani Gallardo and others from getting paid

Ian Desmond had a chance for like what, 100 million and turned it down. I don't think it hurts them that muche at all but the players union will hammer it home anyway trying to get it changed

Fister is struggling, is he a lock for the rotation, especially given Wandy is pitching well...

Keuchel
Mchugh

Fiers
Feldman
Fister
Wandy

Who's the odd man out in the first turn through the rotation?

Marisnick sucks worse than Swingleton this spring.

But at least he has defensive value, I guess.

What'd I miss? This guy just forget about Fiers?

Barring injury, Fister, left-hander Wandy Rodriguez and right-hander Scott Feldman will round out the rotation behind Opening Day starter Dallas Keuchel and righty Collin McHugh -- but in what order has yet to be
