I don't see it.
quote:
Relief pitchers (14 options) Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller have combine for 110 strikeouts in 69.2 innings.
1. Andrew Miller, LHP, Yankees Miller is the most sought-after reliever on the market because he is controllable for two more years and can be utilized as a closer or setup reliever or lefty specialist. He should get the best trade return of any player dealt at the deadline.
2.Aroldis Chapman, LHP, Yankees Since he becomes a free agent this winter, he’s a rental, but also a postseason game-changer with the potential to shut down the game’s best left-handed hitters in October playoff games.
Unless I'm looking for it in the wrong place but that's from today's Insider Article. Doesn't mention the Astros. Doesn't mention potential destinations for any players. Its just a list of potential tradeable players at each position.

I don't mind this because it's reasonable to think we have a several excellent setup men but no stud closer.

Yeah I was kinda skeptical when I saw the tweet link (of an astros based twitter) on another astros site I look at and saw nothing about it on Bowdens twitter.
I did see legitimate reports that we were scouting the Yankees though and would not be disappointed to upgrade our bullpen with someone who is not just a LOOGY but a real lefty reliever

That's the kind of stat you frame and hang on your wall if you're LMJ. Nobody does that to Trout. Literally.

I'm following a guy that has some ridiculous stats about McCullers spin rate......how do they even come up with some of this stuff?
quote:
Lance McCullers average spin rate on his curve tonight is 3084 RPMs... League average is 2462 RPM. That's some serious spin.
quote:
Most 3000+ RPM pitches in a game this year:
McCullers 29
McCullers 29
Hahn 21
McCullers 19
Morton 19
.....
McCullers tonight: 41 !!!

Yeah, that must be Statcast stuff. I wish we could have had the technology for Darryl Kile or Nolan's curveball.
