You do you, Ryno. Like no body else.

ESPN insider piece by Jeff Sullivan (Fangraphs contributer) on five teams that could put packages together for Sale and what he thinks it would take
LINK
His package for the Astros is Musgrove/Martes/Paulino/Kyle Tucker
Interested to hear what y'all would think about that. He probably isn't far off and because we wouldn't give up a Bregman or McCullers I would be inclined to do it but that's still a ton to give up

Damn, that would be painful, since Kyle Tucker is going to be a stud and Martes might be as well. We'd be giving up every promising pitching prospect we have that's close to the majors. But at the same time, Chris Sale.

If we add another big bat like E5, I say do that without question.

If I'm the White Sox I turn that down and insist on Reed be included in that package. If I were an Astro's fan, I wouldn't think twice about making that deal.
Young pitching is extremely volatile... actually that should be said of prospects in general. You get a sure thing like Sale for something like that, you jump on it IMO. It's going to take years to see if one of those arms reach anywhere near their perceived ceilings.

Not sure how I feel about Rich Hill at all. He's probably the best pitcher in free agency, but I see no way he tops what he did last year.

Reed wouldn't tip it for me as an Astros fan and I would still do it if they wanted him added to that group. He still has a lot of time to work things out but he just does everything slow right now.

For me, you can create a package with anyone who has yet to make the majors from our system and I'm happy.

I dunno. I think I agree just because Springer is older and corner OF are easier to come by, but we better be getting a true ace if we are giving up either.

If we get Encarnacion I'd be the happiest man alive. Dude can absolutely Rake. Imagine his power with the shorter CF and the Crawford Boxes

I always felt like the Crawford Boxes were neutralized by the absurdly distant Centerfield. I expect it's going to play like a total bandbox next season.

I did too.. but now Minute Maid is a Hitter's paradise

Theorizes.
Which means total guess
I may have a Ryno type melt down if they trade Springer.

You are correct. If one has to go it's springer.
