the pros play on fairways that are about 1/4 of the size of most of ours on almost every course. a little more precision is required

I kind of thought goat was gonna come screamin' out of the gates a little more than this.
I heard from a lot of credible people that know a lot about golf that he was gonna win this tournament and another Major this year.

It's from hittin' out of the rough all day. goat just missed the par 5 fairway, and followed with a pull left short of the green in the rough again.

I have played Torrey Pines a week before an LPGA tournament and let me tell you that freaking rough is like glue. it just grabs your club and sticks to it. I was blasting 8 irons from 100 out to get it out of that crap.

Rough can really separate a course from being medium difficulty to being very difficult.

MSU made their rough a little ridiculous last summer. Ball would immediately stop when it hit the rough. 50-50 shot on whether you got a decent lie.

My home course got stupid for a couple of months where you could literally not find your ball a few feet off the fairway when you knew where it landed.
