I really don't think it's a stretch to say the Saints were better than the Panthers. Split series with saints dominating at home and panthers squeaking out a victory in which the saints dominated them statistically. The one game difference is a sound argument but people forget NO played the Patriots on the road while Carolina got them at home on Monday Night. Not saying there is a definitive answer but to say there isn't an argument is a little ridiculous.

As mentioned, having the Saints over Panthers shouldn't be humorous to anyone.

The lifelong Auburn Panther fans probably won't see it your way, Coco.

That is true.

The Auburn Panther fans know everything. I should give up, I'm just a "butthurt Saints fan" jealous of a far superior team.

This thread is funny because the first page has one post claiming that the Saints are above the Panthers and NE and another post claiming that Arizona should be in the top five.

And I think we can guess which post the MSB jumped all over.

why the frick do people think saints over Carolina is laughable? saints arse raped panthers in the dome. panthers squeaked out a last second win at their house. 1 game difference in record. both lost in same week of playoffs. saints on the road to the superbowl champs. Carolina at home to the nfc runner ups. objectively saints should be on top

Do the auburn Panthers fans just rotate between the Panthers and Falcons depending on who has a better season?

I think it is more laughable cause only Saints fans are saying it.
It isn't a stretch to think the Saints are better, but the two teams split the series, and Carolina won the more important one. The game the not only gave them the division, but also the first round bye.
Both teams lost in round 2. Yes, the Saints won a playoff game, but playing a more inferior team than the 49ers and Seattle.

So IMO, the only thing it comes down to between the two team was the Panthers winning the clutch game. Saints could have been division champs, but lost it to the Panthers.

let's just say that were tied. It doesn't matter- both had good seasons in the scheme of things. Let's settle it on the field this upcoming season.

Saints blew Carolina out the building at home; and lost a very close game on the road. New Orleans was the better team, but Carolina won the game that matters. It happens.

And the Panthers were embarrassed at home by the 49ers, and the Saints lost a relatively close game to the eventual Super Bowl champions. Carolina exposed themsleves to be a fraud and were a team that benefited from many lucky bounces and some non-calls by the refs to end games.

I wish I could, but I tore my ACL/MCL. I'm hoping I'll be back and good to go for the season.

Your argument has no realsubstance to it. Because 1 team blew out another team, but your team only lost by a little, it means your better?

Who is to say it would have been any different the teams switched opponents? You can guess, but the facts are panthers beat the saints to win the division, and both teams lost in the same round.

That same argument goes for Saints and NE then, doesn't it?

The Saints aren't losing a home playoff game, they sure as hell aren't getting embarrassed at home. Not to SF, not to Seattle, not anyone.
